Escape From Tarkov - General Guide Hello all, I’m proud to introduce to you my EFT guide. This guide focuses on strategies and tips to improve your gameplay. The guide is split into 5 parts, but has been designed to allow you to easily switch from one topic to another. If you’re a TL;DR kind of person, simply find the section that you need. I’ve put down the best of my knowledge in this guide. Should you feel that I’ve either left something important out, or that there’s something incorrect in the guide, you can contact me through the EFT Forums or UWS Forums. Separate from the guide itself, I’ve also put together some reference sheets to help with quick questions such as “What’s the best ammo for the AK?” or “What does this key go to?”. Enjoy the guide, and if you’ve found it to be useful leave a comment down below. Donations are always welcome too. You can get the guide and reference sheets from the UWS Forums using the links below. Game Guide Reference Spreadsheet Thanks, - Tax Donate Here
  8. Shotguns need reworking

Pump shotguns need to be able to be pumped faster. Real pumps dont take 2 full seconds to use.

  10. Your suggestions

I think it's really important that each of the ammunition types is given a better description. What I mean by this is I want to be able to inspect a certain ammo type and be able to tell that with X ammo I'll be sacrificing damage but gaining armor penetration, but with Y ammo I'll be getting great damage but it'll lose accuracy at range. The keys need better descriptions. They don't need to tell me what they unlock, but they do need to have a better way to tell them apart, and tell their general purpose. Keep in mind basically ALL car manufacturers put the manufacturers logo on their car keys. So any key that opens up a car should have a description listing that manufacturer at the very least. An example of a good key is the one that says "This key likely opens up old Soviet administration doors". An example of a bad key is the one that says: "key" PLEASE add in a "keyring" and/or a "money pouch". Bags that have like 15-20 slots but ONLY accept keys/money. It's absurd when I start a game and half of my secure box is taken up by keys. Consider letting players customize their clothing. I realize that's not easy to implement and that it's important that players be able to recognize BEAR from USEC from Scav, but I like the idea of having some way to differentiate yourself from others. So you're on Teamspeak or Discord and you can say "I'm the guy with the green MBSS, the white Helmet, the MP5, and the Hello Kitty Slippers", or something like that. Even just a few different color options would make a big difference. Similarly, to help people tell each other apart, put some logos on certain pieces of clothing. Like if a player is a BEAR then put a BEAR logo on body armor, helmet, and backpack. I like the idea of distance-based voice chat in game. Something that'll give players an easy way to say "I'm friendly" beyond the wiggle-wiggle-wiggle-hope. Give the junk items and the trading items some idea of their value in their description. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to remember if Fence will pay me more for a can of rotten spam or a half-used bottle of lemon-scented dish soap.

The Steyr Scout. Can be chambered in .223 Remington, 243 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, or .308 Winchester. Some Background: Designed to be an extremely versatile outdoorsman/hunters rifle. It has an integral bipod, a tiny Picatinny rail (if you didn't want a large optic), and can keep a spare mag in its buttstock. Very much what I might expect lumberjacks out in Woods to carry (in case they run into a bear). Designed by Steyr Mannlicher to meet the specifications of Colonel Jeff Cooper. Colonel Cooper was the founder of Gunsite in Arizona, and is commonly known as the father of modern pistol combat. Besides full weapons platforms, there are plenty of other goodies you can include. 12ga Flechettes (similar in use to slugs though they have less penetration they remain accurate at longer distances) Bayonets that attach to guns 12ga beanbag rounds (something that'll break someone's leg or arm maybe without killing them.....for reasons). Flashbangs! Flare Pistols (for night runs w/o NVG's). 12ga door breaching rounds. It's absurd that all we have to rely on to enter a doorway is either the doorknob or our foot. One system for this is the KAC Masterkey, which is an underbarrel attachment for an M4 or M16. Handheld Flashlights, or flashlights that can be held in the off hand in Harries style: Double-barrel shotgun (maybe an over-under shotgun too).

You're absolutely right. The HK417 was a typo, but the MP7 was a shock! I had no idea it uses 4.6x30mm. Thanks for the corrections.

CZ Bren 805 & 806. I know they've been mentioned before, but I just had to throw my support behind them.
