The Art of Warfare [TAW]

The Art of Warfare [TAW] is a highly organized international gaming community that has been established since 2001 with 2800+ current active members in 40+ games, and has stretched its arms to ‘’Escape from Tarkov’’.  We currently have multiple people who are going to be playing the game and ready to have fun with you.

         What we offer you:

-          Active and organized players.

-          International community ranging from EU (Europe), NA (North America), SA (South America) to OC (Oceanic)/SEA/etc.

-          Huge TeamSpeak (Top ranking in the world).

-          A modern Website at www.taw.net (even a more updated one in progress).

-          Forums and Wikis.

-          NEWS and articles.

-          Shop for some goodies.

-          Badges you can earn within TAW which gives you more things to do in the game when things get boring.

-          A ranking system for those who like to advance within the community.

-          Around 2 events per week for every time zone that have been planned and worked on by our Field Specialists.

-          Clan wars, Tournaments, and rewards.

-          Loyalty from your clan mates.

-          Lots of other games to play with fully developed teams, just a channel away (List of our UNITS or games can be found HERE.)

-          And much, much more.

Our Plan/Goal for the Escape from Tarkov team:

-          We will have players with both BEAR and USEC factions (More info on the PDF file attached).

-          We want to have both casual and competitive players.

-          Try our best to have a tactical team.

-          Squads with common goals and game style.

-          Organize lots of clan activities for those who are interested.

-          To build a mature team, not only limited to skill level.

-          We also want to help the development of the game by doing our best in the Alpha and Beta testing.

-          Build the team in a way where everyone is able to take part in the direction and goals of our team.

-          To make a place of long lasting friendship between EFT gamers.

            Requirements to join:

-          Have fun!

If you are either a casual gamer, hardcore gamer or something in between we have a thing for you.  We even have a full team dedicated to Streamers, Designers, Programmers, etc., who like to follow their dreams and do what they do best aside from gaming.

I've been in TAW for about a year and a half and it has been the best experience I have ever had in a gaming community. The camaraderie you build in this organization makes you want to stay even if a game get dull. Escape from Trakov is a new chapter in the Art of Warfare and I'm looking forward to meeting more friendly faces.

Hey guys,

I've been in TAW for 3 years now and I can tell you that as long as I play multiplayer games, TAW will be my gamer home. When I entered the Teampeak and met my welcoming officer, I was shown that the structure of TAW promotes growth, teamwork, and a friendly atmosphere. There's options to show that you are an active membe, the events are fun, the feedback is taken from all members because TAW cares about all its members. Whether you are a competitive player or a casual players who likes to just hang out and play, there is a home for you here. I can't recommend it enough.

Hope you guys will join.

Due to the last news regarding the wave sequence, looks like I'm going to be able to join only one of the last waves.

Hey Ken,

If I am not mistaken you are a TAW member in Squad Division right?

Anywyas, you should enable your account to show you are an EOD owner.  Go to your account settings > Profile settings > Display bought preorder pack to public users.

Glad to see you here.

Just curious, but what do you define "fair play" as? I had a read through the PDF document and while it does give mention of the ideals of "honor, integrity and fairplay", it gives no explanation of what these mean to the clan and how they expect members to uphold these values (unless I missed it completely). It'd probably be a nice addition to your explanation PDF, both because people will probably like what you have to say and for transparency slash posterity.

HI,

Take a look at TAW code of ethics.  It should answer your queries.  http://taw.net/wikis/welcome/our-code-of-ethics.aspx

Thank you.

Hmm, it's relatively straightforward. I thought that'd be the case, but I was curious.

Hello,

Sorry for the late response.  I hope your answer has been given already but just to mention it.  Fairplay is regarding the cheating part, to mention that we do not allow cheating, we like to play fair and win fair, etc.

Feel free to ask anyother questions you may have.

Thanks!

I hope so too.  Well even if we cannot, like I said before, we can keep reporting bugs and use the time to get to know eachother and to get to learn and improve in the game as well.

Oh, I realise that now, but I was just wondering what exactly was meant by that. The problem with anything concerning morality is that different people have different ideals they subscribe to those words/phrase/ideas, much less entirely different senses of morality E.G. some may have a very strict "hero" morality, where as others have a very loose or non-existent "villain" morality. I, personally, have employed some tactics in some games in the past that I've since learned others deem to be "unfair" or "mean spirited", but were totally within the confines of what the game allows (I.E. cheats, glitches and exploits were not used). My cohorts and I thought it was a wise tactical move, but I've since learned via Youtube from footage of other people doing similar that some people see it as, well, a "dick move", so to speak.

Hence, I was just wondering how that applies to this clan/community and how your ideals differ to mine. As far as I can tell from what I've read, it looks like we're kind of on the same page.

As long as you are not using any kind of cheats/exploits/glitchs (Anything that gives you advantage over others and it has not been intended to be implimented) then you are more than welcome to do it.  Because its your game, and we wont tell you how you can play your game.  If it was not allowed or was anything bad, then the developers wont have it in the first place.  In dayZ you might like being a bandit but it doesn't seem a ''HEROIC'' way but it is totally your way and how you want to play as the character you play on.  In The Division, you want to go rouge then you go rouge, because that is part of the game.  If we have said we will only be doing heroic and moral thing then killing all those people doesn't seem right, then we would all have been just looking at the game and sweet talking on everything lol

So we do have the honor part but that does not mean you cannot be who you want to be in the game but it implies to the clan itself.  So yes we are on the same page if I make sense on what I tried to explain.
