The other day I made this topic: TLDR: setting the game to 2560x1440p doesn't actually give you true 1440p: it gives you 1920x1080. I asked people to post pics of their 1440p game, they didn't, they just said theirs "looks" the same. This issue is known as evidenced by this reddit post who took klean_upguy's advice on how to fix the res via regedit, which no longer works as far as I can tell. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapefromTarkov/comments/6qlf55/guide_how_to_force_enable_2k_1440p_resolution/ What I managed to do was change the res in-game from 2560x1440 to 1920x1440. Here is what 2560x1440 looks like: Here is what 1920x1440 looks like It is crystal clear that the second one is actually showing what 1440 should look like instead of 1080 vertical pixels. For anyone who can't tell, more pixels = more on screen = more stash shown. Can we get an official answer to this? We are thinking we're playing 1440p, but most of us seem none the wiser at the fact that we're playing on stretched 1080p.
Hi Community I‘m about to plan to buy a 1440p monitor and I‘m asking myself: will the game on high/ultra settings still on 60 fps? Heres my rig: Intel i7 6700k @ 4 x 4Ghz 32GB DDR4 RAM msi GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G Maybe some people of you have a comparable rig and a 1440p monitor. I‘d aprreciate if you’d share your experience with me Thank you.
So I thought I was playing on 2560x140p (says so in the graphics settings) but then after alt-tabbing a few times, the screen "shrunk" and I now realize I've been at 1920x1080 the whole time. At 1440p all of the items in the inventory look a lot sharper, and more of the inventory is on screen at once. After some googling, turns out this is an ongoing issue for a while now. For example this reddit post is buy a guy who tweaked reg edit according to advice from klean_upguy: https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapefromTarkov/comments/6qlf55/guide_how_to_force_enable_2k_1440p_resolution/ I tried his trick, and not even this works for me. I haven't been able to reproduce my alt-tabbing moment where the game actually switched to 1440p. Does anyone know what to do about this?
