  2. I'm currently trying to switch which of my hard drives Tarkov runs off of and I'm having a bit of trouble. I am far from great with computers to be honest. So where I am currently at is I originally transferred all the data to the new hard drive and it wouldn't let me open the battlestate launcher so I could update my game. So I then deleted it all off my computer and went to just redownload it. The problem I'm now facing is that the installer won't let me choose the location of the download. It automatically tries to download it to my original hard drive. Any help is appreciated.

60 FPS Locked or free 120 FPS

So, quick question. Is it better to cap the FPS at 60 and have a non-fluctuating fps? Or is it better to set it at max limit of 120? On reserve and shoreline, my average fps is in the general area of 75-90. Sometimes it goes above 100.
  4. Hello. I am desperately in need of a new PC. Im currently running a alienware laptop I got back in 2012. So I would like to invest in a new system. But I need to know what is good for EFT. I found a few ads on some local dealer sites we have here. I found one that peaked my interest. here are the specs the owner posted: * I5-4670K 3.4 GHz quad core Processor * Corsair H80i liquid cooler * Asus B85-plus Motherboard * 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM * Evga gtx 1050ti ssc 4gb gddr5 overclocked to 1500mhz * Samsung 120GB ssd * 1TB HDD * Thermaltake Chaser A-31 Case * Corsair TX850M Modular Power Supply * Hcman led mechanical keyboard with cherry MX blue switches * R.A.T 7 gaming mouse * Benq24" bl2410pt 60hz monitor Im guessing he custom built it. But I want to know how good these specs add up to play EFT. Im hoping to run around 60 fps or more on the map that has most fps drop. Thanks.
  5. Can we get more of a technical insight on how you plan to have the open world functionally stable? like how will you deal with lag on medium to low-grade computer users? loading times on customs/woods/shoreline are slow for me and a couple of my friends, how do you plan to fix this?

    Searching Computers in Tarkov

Currently, searching through the computers, they're quite odd in what they'll produce. Mostly this is due to RNG and just a preset list of 'parts' but often you're effectively finding a box that's just got 3 DVD players and a CPU fan, or just 3 cpu fans. This really seems odd, and starts breaking the illusion and seeing too much of the RNG loot mechanic. On top of that, we currently can only search through one type of computer, with several other computers that are unable to be searched for no discernible reason throughout the game, such as the "Unity" computer in the Dorms. And the 'gaming' computer I suppose What I would propose, is that all currently searchable computers, instead of using an RNG mechanic to determine what is in them, be fairly prebuilt at the start of every raid. A computer being searched for the first time would always yield at a minimum: A CPU, a cpu fan, a motherboard (replacing the current 'circuit' and making a 4x4 version), a PSU, As well as between 1-4 pieces of RAM, and 1-4 HDD and/or SSD. The only real random probabilities I would say would be for if a GPU spawns inside, or possibly to limit GPUs only to 'gaming' computers. This would go with making all computers searchable, as well as the laptops around the area, except I would think that laptops would have a higher chance of spawning an SSD over a HDD, and spawn a rechargeable battery instead of a PSU. I think such a change would add a greater level of immersion into the game, make it more realistic, and encourage more people to explore and seek out the computers and areas where they are since they would become a more reliable and valuable loot area.

    HP Omen X

What is up fellow escapists! I have a question for the masses about a decision I am debating and its based on hardware. I currently am running a custom build pc based off of Digital Storms Aventum 3. I have been looking into getting a new desktop though and am wondering if any of you own the HP Omen X. Looking at getting one with the following specs: OS: Windows 10 Home Processor: 6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-6700K Processor RAM: 32 GB DDR4 memory Storage: 512 SSD + 3 TB HDD storage Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080; Founders Edition Price: 2600 Worth it? Could run the game on ultra with 60fps?

What PC's do the devs have?

Hey folks, Pre note: I did see the 'approximate' specifications topic, however here I wish to see their setup because they have some pretty impressive FPS while recording! I've seen some pretty impressive things from the test videos that the dev dairies have shown. Though I'm left wondering, just what kind of (beastly) pc do they have to be able to run the game with such high quality and what is the general FPS while play-I mean, testing/showcasing ? This is just to get a general idea about what components they have to be able to run the game as magically as they do. Thanks in advance!
