Dear BSG Devs and EFT community,

After using my beloved AKS-74U Krinkov for so long, I finally got my first Weapon Jam in EFT :D it's a freaking STOVEPIPE, ladies & gentlemen! Yihaa!!!

But then I soon realize that there's something really weird going on with this Stovepipe (as attached picture below) :o

My AKS-74U stovepipes a full cartridge though rather than an empty cartridge case, which shouldn't be possible! In order for the casing to extract out of the action (unsuccessfully to stovepipe), it needs the recoil from the actual bullet being fired to cycle the bolt carrier. A full cartridge would not come out of the ejection port, just the empty case! :(

So BSG Devs (especially weapon department), with all due respect, please fix it!

Thanks in advance,

-Vekongmaster-

Dear BSG Devs,

I got another little suggestion on the Stovepipe Jam in EFT:

This Stovepipe Jam should occur not just due to low weapon durability level.

This Stovepipe Jam should also occur when our PMC's hands are heavily injured (blacked out). When our hands are injured, we most likely don't have solid grip on the gun while shooting it.  That has big tendency to cause Stovepipe Jam.

But why??

This phenomenon is called "Limp Wristing", where the shooter's grip is not firm enough and the wrist is not held firm/straight enough to keep the frame of the firearm from traveling rearward while the bolt or slide of the pistol cycles. As the slide/bolt begins to recoil to the rear, some of that energy is transmitted to the gun frame through the locking mechanism (in locked breech designs) and the recoil spring. This transmitted energy accelerates the gun frame to the rear as well. If the frame is not sufficiently restrained by its mass and the shooter's grip or straightened wrist, the frame will "catch up" to the slide, and the recoil spring will not be fully compressed, and the slide/bolt will return forward under less than the designed force. Hence, the slide/bolt don't have enough power to properly cycle the action to eject the empty case of the just-fired round.

Rifles and shotguns, if fired without the stock in the shoulder, should also be prone to Limp Wristing.

Here's a video to demonstrate what I'm talking about

Thanks in advance,

-Vekongmaster-

Dear @Schaefer,

Many thanks, mate! :D Hopefully the devs (weapon department) will take a look at this Stovepipe thingy.

As a beta tester, I'm just trying to do anything I can to help the devs make this game even more perfect. And as a gun nut, I will share anything I know about guns.

Right now, I've been checking all the gun mechanic in the game. I totally salute the devs! They have done amazing job with the Gun Porn in this game. Everything is almost rock solid! Hands down the most realistic fps game I've ever played in my life. God bless BSG & EFT community!

Cheers!
