Ok,  first im not complaining, i am asking a simple questions that hopefully someone can answer.  I have only been playing for a few weeks and i love the concept of the game but it seems that every match i play in i am getting auto killed by one shots by both AI's and Players.  Is this normal or is it just because of the pre-wipe?

There is a pre-wipe event currently going on where the normal Scavs are replaced with Raiders which are significantly harder than Scavs. Also all traders loyalty levels are set to max and everything they are selling is cheap and they have unlimited of. This event will end when the next patch drops. Hang in there.

Welcome to Tarkov. :)

Yes it is normal. You started playing very late into a wipe. Players have "end-game" gear which basically negates anything a newer players has, or can get for at least 4-6 weeks without having to sell themselves to buy from the Flea Market.

The AI is meant to be tough. Remember the are attuned to the environment, the respond to sounds (gunshots, footsteps, etc.). SOme of them are bigger and badder (Scav Bosses, and Scav Raiders) which will flank you, flashbang you and literally aimbot your poor newbie ass and flip you off before doing so.

Just keep playing, you will get accustomed to the sights, sounds, and behaviors of the AI, probably within 4-6 weeks. Players on the other hand...good luck...we have some really good players, and most players by this time surpass you in map awareness so much that they will hit you from one direction and by the time you peek from cover they have flanked you and killed you.

Just keep at it, watch guides, run Customs, Shoreline run them over and over. Also, run with a buddy. Look at maps on a second monitor or you tablet/phone try to associate the map with what you see in-game, look for landmarks, tie them to the map.

Keep playing, YOU WILL IMPROVE.

First thing you need to remember is gear is always available, so don't worry about losing it in raid. Start spending more on better armour and helmets, experiment with weapons sights and scopes, best mods, suppressors, etc. If you are getting shot without being seen, try and use cover more. Move from bush to bush, or wall to wall - try to have something between you and potential bad guys. There is a massive learning curve in this game, so if you like the game stick with it and don't be dismayed.
