So basically...

In my last few months of playing, dying and general frustration, I'm noticing something... Unless you have premium PC hardware, you're pretty much screwed. I know it has a lot to do with optimization at this moment but at what point does it become an issue for players who want to play this amazing game but are punished(severely) because they don't have the dough to have the best hardware out? I watch many youtubers and see how they can spot players and scavs from across a map but in my case... I can barely see a scav walking by at 50m. I have my settings turned up to a reasonable level which is dictated by my hardware and still the visibility is just lacking. When I watch a youtuber spot players\scavs walking\sneaking through bushes and cover at a fair distance and score a kill, its disheartening to player like myself that cant spot a scav walking through the trees at me at 10m.

I know I'll receive hate for this rant and that's okay, there is a good amount of toxicity in this playerbase and thats to be expected. I just hope more care is taken to help all players regardless of skill and\or hardware capabilities enjoy the masterpiece this game is becoming.

Rant over.

You're not 100% correct, but you're not totally wrong, either. I run it at 1920x1080 with things set to medium and I know I'm at a disadvantage, but I can still see a lot of things. It just means I have to play a slower game so I don't get ambushed.

Yes the game needs optimising, we all know that, and with the move to the newer version of Unity we should see some improvements. Remember though that a lot of said YouTubers play on a daily basis, they know routes people will take etc very well, they also don't tend to upload the times that they didn't spot the enemy and get killed, so you only see the good encounters but believe me they die just the same as any other player lol.
