what the title says, i was on factory trying to deliver the case for prapor when a hatchling at the bottom of a staircase shoots me once in the thorax with a pistol and i died immediately even though i was wearing the kirasa class 3 armor. Is there ammo or something that's capable of bypassing my armor like that and killing me?

Besides the point for a second, how are they a hatchling if they have a firearm to shoot you with?

Anyway, I think there was previously a glitch with armor where it occasionally wouldn't come into effect? Not sure if that ever got fixed, in fact I'm not super familiar on how it functions since I only ever saw it called "The Armor Glitch" and not really explained deeply.

I did have an experience similar to this the other day, was out of ammo on my long rifle and fought/killed a man with a PM. after checking him his armor and helmet still had durability left. I suppose every round has a penetration value, and just mathematically a round will penetrate armor eventually, that just might have been an unlucky pen.

Otherwise if the handgun was a Sh1mp or something in 9mm, there generally are AP rounds available. In  fact, 9x18 PMM doesn't seem to be half bad either, only the TT's ammo lacks an AP capable option, it seems

I suppose so, but it's interesting how he just sat there and shot me though, he didn't freak out or anything unless he calm when he sees geared people right in his face. I also consider players that have a pistol but nothing else a hatchling as well.
