Reset after upgrade possible?

Hi, 

I am considering to upgrade from Standard to Edge of Darkness Edition. I am restricted to reset my account for 3 weeks since I reset 3 days ago. Will I be able to reset if I buy now or do I have to wait 3 weeks?

Couldn't find something on this specific problem in the forums.

You won't be able to reset until the reset timer runs out. 

HOWEVER, why do you need to reset? You will get all of the benefits, without needing to reset.

I upgraded and it worked. You get the items via ingame mail and the stash is extended. 

 @The-Kraken_ZA I didn't find any notice about that fact, that you will get the benefits without resetting. I thought you only get those if you reset. 

Everything worked fine. Topic can be closed
