Folding backpacks / other soft items... Remove armor plates from carriers, etc...

Backpacks are very simple... They should collapse to just a few squares without being able to hold anything other than half the squares they fold to, or the same amount of squares although that would allow unlimited stacking..... Right now that is possible and it isn't a bad idea... It may be better just to stack backpacks as a number rather than inside one another for so many nested double-clicks to access the inner-most...

I'd also like the option to remove the armor plates from armor, stack those and fold the soft parts.

I do think the 2 best options are to allow it to be folded to a smaller size, and allow the same type of backpack to be contained within..

OR

To fold backpacks, in which case nothing is allowed inside and backpacks with things inside can't be folded unless it is paper or something flat... And, stack by just adding a number. Allow a maximum of 100 in the stack which isn't a bad number for end-game backpack levels.

When in the folded state, you should be able to equip / unfold instantly. ie: if you alt click to equip the stack of backpacks.... it takes one backpack, unfolds it, and equips it.

For folded armor, the same should be true, but armor needs to be installed to be effective as a plate-carrier. Some armors such as kevlar without a sleeve, can't have their armor removed but they should be foldable as they are soft with a minimum of 8 layers of woven kevlar on the front side, at least, and maybe the back.

Some of the sizes for these items are just too big, and I have the biggest inventory. Being able to fold, then stack, would be amazing since most of us simply stack anyway... Being able to have a crate with just backpacks would be helpful...

The way the backpacks and inability to fold them is balanced, is that you can fit as many inside each other as you want. I think thats just fine. Why would you need to fold them, as you can just have as many items inside, as the backpack takes from your inventory?

Removable and interchangeable armor plates are in the works. No ETA on when its gonna be implemented.
