TobysWeed
Hey a new player here. im was looking for advice. do i heal after raids or just wait> is it sustainable to heal after raids or do i just wait it out. even if i scav there are still like these 10 - 20 mins where i can't play at all. Idk if they intended the healing after raid to be some kind of dumb hardcore mechanic, even though it's more obviously a time gate or economy gate for extended gameplay hours. i've seen some people say its to stop run and gun gameplay. honestly in a game like this that confuses me because if you have even mildly good aim nobody is gonna run and gun your face and it not be your own fault. Honestly I'm not here to complain the game is how it is, so im just wondering do I pay for heals? it's stressful because right now i'm not actually getting that much meds or loot each game. keepa34
Is best to heal yourself after a raid other wise your pmc will carry on morning and groaning throughout the next raid. You will also have a much smaller window of opportunity to react to scav/players sitting at you. It does feel expensive in the early game but it does get better as you progress
DrBloom
Also something to consider is although your moaning and groaning might not sound too bad to you, other players, especially those with items that amplify sound will hear you from a mile away, even if you are sneaking around or hiding
RoosterBooster_
@TobysWeed There are many other conversations about this topic. I was a new mechanic introduced in .12 so theres going to be alot of testing and playing with it. You can improve your hideout to hasten the passive regen. Just take your time on the scav runs if you're hurting for cash don't just rush factory.
TobysWeed
thanks guys i wasn't running raids low health i was just interested how fast cash will go if i'm buying cheese health paks all the time. @RoosterBooster_ ya i feel like the timer makes it really hard for a new player to just learn the game. if i get 1 tapped in my scav and pmc raids really fast I have to spend my money to just play again. and i'm very apprehensive about spending money early in games, i think most people are like this. I do get it as a tension enhancing mechanic though. its funny you say don't rush factory that's where i seem to have my most success. my aim is pretty decent so headshots have been easy and the line of sights more controlled. then the get out of factory seems like the fastest of the maps i've played. it's on like customs where i get headshotted by people i can't even see cuz idk where to look. i think i have extracted once on that map lol. RoosterBooster_
@TobysWeed If I'm trying to slow it down while my pmc is healing I like to do Shoreline scav runs. no bosses to kill you so you can just loot around and use the AI as your personal bodyguards. a good shoreline run can take around 30mins. Usually you can find some dead pmc's to take backpacks off and whatnot. Money will go fast if you are healing after every raid and your scav raid is a clean/fast factory run. I don't think its sustainable unless you have GOOD loot in your SC as PMC and you get some good money items in your scav runs. Its more sustainable late game when you have your bitcoin farm and scav box and max regens. Just always try to do pmc run first then scav then heal to minimize the use of your kits. sYs
I don't usually heal in the menus as i don't die that much and even when i do i have already upgraded hideout for health regeneration and i just go play scav. Go loot and enjoy the raid while my pmc regenerates in the background. Tho after raid healing has a huge abuse potential which is not mainstream yet so i assume it will change in future a bit.
