Hunger/Thirst Mechanic needs tuned

So I get there needs to be a "Lack of realism" to balance with the fact that this is still a game,  however, It would be helpful to have a "You're getting hungry" or "You're getting Thirsty" notifications pop up when you're getting close to 0 thirst/energy.   I get that you can simply hit tab 300 million times to check.  however the time from 0 energy to "Screen starts blacking out" is way too short. ESPECIALLY when you're in a firefight.  It seems that you don't have adrenaline?  I know that if someone is shooting at me IRL that I'm not about to be blacking out because I haven't eaten in 20 minutes.    It sucks to get into a firefight and go from 100% awareness to a half blacked out screen.  Yeah, I could have hit tab 100000 times, but if we're not showing notifications due to realism we should get rid of our hp tracker, our thirst/hunger tracker altogether.  Also if we're going for realism we would know when our stomach is growling, or if our mouth is extremely parched.

TLDR:

  1. Notifications when almost 0 energy / thirst and when you hit 0 energy / thirst
  2. An "Adrenaline" timer-  Effects of 0 energy / thirst are reduced when bullets pass near you  (I'm not gonna have a nap if a bullet just wizzed past my head) have it last for like a minute to simulate "Calming down"
  3. Ramp up effects over time.  It seems like 0 energy = screen half black almost instantly.   Instead I'd suggest making vision blurrier and blurrier, and ADS more wobbly as it passes (Like a combination of being lightly flashed and having tremors)
  4. For energy: Instead of doing damage, have a reserve energy pool(doesn't replenish after eating in raid, just main energy does), if that runs out, you pass out where you are at.  (it drains a lot slower when adrenaline is active).  If you don't get found/killed by a PMC, you can get your stuff back after 8 hours (sleep) (doesn't trigger insurance)
  5. For thirst: Instead of doing damage, (No reserve) have the same visual effects as energy, also have the player cough and gag (as if they've been shot) to simulate dry throat and lungs from dehydration.

I think a growling stomach would be a better indication, i.e. the like DayZ has. That said I dont think this is a problem at all. Its not that hard to keep track of your energy and hydration. Also for me, it does show signs of being empty before I get the blacking out screen, I also notice 0 hydration from dizziness effect or what ever it is..

If some mechanic is to be added, concerning this, it shouldnt be a HUD element. Theres a reason you dont really have a HUD in EFT. You can use a little imagination to think about the TAB menu, its kinda you checking yourself out, trying to figure out your condition, possibly with sensors in your body telling your temperature, blood (health) amount, shock, etc. Its not that hard to think of it like this. That said, theres no visual feed on your eyes, so there shouldnt be a HUD either.
