As the name suggests, I find that introducing a radio in Escape from Tarkov would be at least, interesting. It could be really high-end gear, that could be only sold from Therapist LL4. How it would work:
You can only purchase 1 per week - So there would be really minimal to no radios up for sale on the Flea Market.
If you die, you don't lose it, but it would only work on 1 specific map of your choice, or it could have some uses like 20 raids or something - This is for balance.
You can only communicate with members of the same Faction (USECs with USECs and Bears with Bears) - Again, for balance.

Now, why do I find this a good idea?
I feel like members of the same factions shouldn't be hostile to each other, by default at least. Like, if a USEC shoot another USEC then yes, go ahead and kill him, but since they are members of the same faction, don't they have the same goal (other than the obvious which is true for everyone; surviving)? 

This could work even better if 2 or more players aren't member of the same factions, they wouldn't be able to play together as a team. So USECs could only invite other USECs to team-up in the pre-game screen and Bears could only invite and team-up with other Bears.

What's your thoughts on this?

This would make sense during the conflict. The game is set after the pmc wars, there isn’t a chain of command anymore therefore all pmcs and civilians left are left on their own. They do have the same one goal: survive.

However I still don’t know How much factions choices and background will affect the main storyline tho so you never know what surprises bsg will drop in the future.

I really hope they’ll implement voip soon, as it is planned, along with local and radio comms(and radio frequencies like task force radio in ArmA3)the game’s gonna change radically!
