james_rf40
Hi, I normally don't post anything on the internet, but I really enjoyed your game. I wanted to give my feedback to the developers from a new players perspective. I was a big fan of the stalker games. Stalker Call of Pripyat was one of the best games I ever played in my life. So, when I found out that the same people that created Stalker had a new game they were working on, I was naturally very excited. The only thing that kept me away from the game was the PVP aspects of the game. I recently took the leap and purchased the game a few days ago. I have to say that I really enjoy game even with the PVP aspects. I can see that the game mechanics and maps have been seriously considered. My only critique is the difficulty I had starting out. In order to make each round beneficial to the player, one must have a good idea of the maps layout and places to go in order to get items that sell very well. This learning process can be very unforgiving. I have done over 15 raids so far and most of these raids I don't survive and I'm able to make very little progress. The game itself is very fun, but making any sort of progress is very difficult. I have tried switching my location to join serves with no people or finding a way to see how many people are on a server. Just so that I can completed some raids and make some progress. This has seemed to work to some degree but I still do bump into other players. I wished that there was an offline type progression system that was the same as the online version. This way I could have fun while I learn to play the game and when I felt ready I could switch over to PVP if I felt like it. Or even better maybe make a PVE version where the players were all grouped together on one time against the AI. I have always gravitated towards PVE type games rather than PVP type games. Until then, I'll continue to throw myself into the fire. I can not wait for what comes next. Thank you so much for creating such a fun game. p4nnus
Welcome! Cool that you enjoy this great beta test. EFT is meant to be hard and unforgiving, with a steep learning curve. Its a major part of what makes the game so intense and interesting! It feels so good once you get through the difficulties in the beginning. You start learning the maps and the mechanics so that you gain advantage on people who havent and simultaneosly start to get on the level of people who actually know all the quirks of EFT. In a month or two youll get there, even if you are a casual player. I can tell you that theres not many games that give the same satisfaction, so I recommend you keep trying. Dont avoid high traffic servers, learn to avoid certain places at certain times to avoid contact with enemies. If you see an enemy, you dont have to open fire. Move slowly to keep track of where enemies can be at given times. Shoot headshots, unless the enemy has a faceshield. Utilize the oh-so-oftenly available scav raids. If you need to figure out the maps, use the offline mode for that. Also, you should always raid with squadmates, thats the way EFT is meant to be played. If you dont have friends who own the game, use the EFT discord or "looking for team" thread here on the forums. Sherpas might also help you. Your post here is a duplicate of so many different "offline coop mode" suggestions that Ive lost count. I lost count over a year a go. Thats why you should use the search function to see if theres similar suggestion made already. If there is, you can continue that thread with your take on it or then just accept the fact that its been suggested already. New, fresh suggestions get drowned in all the duplicates so you shouldnt post em. A PVE mode with coop but no progression has been confirmed to be a feature thats gonna be implemented at some point. Originally the offline mode was meant to be temporary, only to recreate some heavy game-breaking bugs, to have them documented and removed more easily. What you suggest, a mode with separate progression, has been confirmed several times NOT to happen. Edited January 2, 2020 by p4nnus
