Outrage Mobs Attack BSG For 2016 Women Comments

As a fan of BSG and prior games related to the EFT universe, namely Contract Wars on Kongregate a long time ago, I just wanted to say that I hope to god that BSG do not fall to the outrage mobs in the MSM and on Twitter. Progress on the game has been reinforced for me with 0.12, and with the surge in popularity from the Twitch Drops event, i am certain that the game will do well in the coming year. But this is where the problem comes, the outrage mob could ruin the progress being made on the game.

This whole controversy seems to have manifested in comments from a 2016 interview in which BSG stated that there would not be women in EFT. This has only NOW been brought up because the outrage mob is angry with success or only just been exposed to the game. This is exactly why I hope BSG do not care what this group says.

BSG clearly doesn’t want women in EFT outside the bounds of lore (eg, Therapist) which is 100% fine, but this has made the mobs lose their minds. These people dug up comments and created an issue where there wasn’t one, they just expanded their outrage until they found something to attack. 

EFT is a competitive game about gameplay, not a game about facial modelling and what’s between the player’s legs. I'm pretty sure that the community doesn’t care about this outrage and just wants the great gameplay and content to continue. I honestly don't know anyone who wants another Battlefield 5 controversy, which CLEARLY did not work for DICE or EA. Just look at the gritty nature of Battlefield 1 compared to the screaming women in Battlefield 5, it ruined the immersion and historical accuracy. At the very least, if this change is made, do it well, such as in Cyberpunk 2077 with unique and interesting female characters such as V or Sasquatch. And for anyone that is still against the idea of creative freedom not including women, tell me one time that when a developer bent the knee to extremist left wing ideologies, it worked out well... I’ll wait.

I just wanted to quickly mention a comment made by UEG. Next time, please only use lore as a defence for the actions. Talk about stuff such as the Wagner PMC group. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagner_Group. This stuff is much more solid than, "modelling and time restrictions".

Couldn't agree more with you @MonumentAU, this woke madness needs to stop.

I'm sick and tired to see this kind of people always trying to pull and force their Shi**y culture down the throat of all kind of medias (movies like Star Wars, the next Avengers, video games with BF5, ...).

BSG is trying to stay down with reality, and let's be honest, women on the frontline in regularly armies are a minority and close to inexistent in PMCs in real life. Having acquaintances and ex-family members working as PMC, I can tell you that there is no women where they are (Ex step father is working in oil fields as a contractor for TOTAL and his best friend is working as a contractor in gold mines in Kenya).

Lastly, what they gonna do ? Besides crying behind their screen and acting offended over nothing like men child ? Going to St Petersburg and hold a protest in front of BSG's office ? I would like to see them try to pull that that crap off, considering how much Russians and Russian police love woke fake feminist left wing bullshit (#HelloTherePussyRiots).

Anyway, let's forget about them and let's enjoy the game
