Is the game still fun?

I know the game is going for the hardcore realism thing but at what point does that stop becoming fun?

I've been playing tarkov for over 2 years and loved each and every update. But lately the realism updates are sucking out the fun from the game and its just become more grindy. i get that its supposed to be realistic but the thing is its supposed to be fun. I get it that what i think might not be universal but i feel like Battlestate games have forgotten about the casual players who dont have 14 hrs a day to play tarkov and focusing only on the people who play it every day like Twitch streamers and youtubers. I dont know. maybe im just talking out my ass but my love for tarkov is fading because it just feels like World of Tarkov. The grind is awful and the EOD eddition is worhless. I will check the game form time to time but untill the fun is braught back i cant see myself playing any time soon.

Escape from Tarkov has no flaws according to its players. The game is perfect and does not need any improvement or major game play changes. I feel EFT isnt getting where it should be because its players are afraid to admit the game has seious flaws and when you bring them up the forum shames you. Just my two cents. To me EFT is exactly the same as Alpha, but with more content. Gameplay is exactly the same.

The game has its' issues, but it's a beta and there's a long road ahead until it's completed. My biggest gripe is the slow release of the maps, once they have them hammered out then progress towards a full release should be much quicker. Just don't be like those idiots that come up with a game design document on how to "improve" the game.

What is it that you dont like? I've only been playing for a week so I don't know how much it's changed over two years.

It hasn't.... Thats the thing. the main gameplay of Alpha is the main gameplay of Beta. Only new maps, and added content including ammunition, armor, helmets, guns, etc. All the main problems of Alpha are still in Beta.

Well OP said "lately the realism updates are sucking out the fun from the game" and I'm wondering what in general. Nothing about bugs was mentioned.
