New player QUESTION and CONCERN from a long time FPS player.

Hello everyone just have a question as a fairly new player to this amazing game. Let me start by saying my first FPS was Counter strike back in the early beta stages back when it was only on PC cant remember the patch number anymore tho lol long time ago, anyways i've been playing FPS games most of my life... Escape from Tarkov is by far my favorite game right now but there's some things i'm struggling with, so thought id ask the community for your input instead of making assumptions...

My first question would be is it common for a fully geared player to be dropped in one or two shots in a matter of what seems like less then 1 second after spotting the enemy? , because that was me twice today... I had on some really decent gear and it seemed as tho i died faster then when i have no body armor or helmet on with my scav. I see allot of talk about cheating but i guess i just want to know if its by game design or if i was a victim of a cheater. I have no video proof but it was the same guy in two different raids, and he dropped me and my buddy instantly upon seeing us, and then later today he dropped me again when i was doing a solo run which is crazy that i even ran in to him again... was not the same map on both instances. Just felt cheap and i couldn't even pull the trigger that's how fast he dropped me, its weird because any other time i've went on a raid with shitty gear it never felt like that, usually it would be a gun fight atleast.

Next question would be if i can legit be dropped that fast what is it that i can do to have less of a chance of this happening? I mean i try to stay quiet watch my surroundings, clear corners best i can, but you would think if i have on a million $ worth of gear that it would take more then 1 or two shots to drop me, especially in such a split second or what felt like even less time....

Maybe its a sync issue or something but just curious if anyone else is having this issue... just not fun losing everything in what feels like a cheap death, i cant seem to drop people this way and i follow the ammo charts and am pretty familiar with weapon customization since i used to customize guns in real life as a hobby which is another reason i like this game so much, very true to life in that department.

Not trying to troll or start poo just curious what i'm doing wrong and what i can do to improve as a player, because i truly love this game, Thanks in advance for any input!
