Question regarding recent Q&A

In the Q&A a little bit back, one of the questions was:

Is just inventory going to be wiped?

The answer was a little vague in terms of the character wipe itself, i totally get gear, hideout, inventory being wiped for testing progression. but i am curious, as are alot of us, if /when our skills and stats WONT get wiped. We would like to "progress" in tarkov and i myself have been playing / waiting for my time to really be invested in the game and have something to show for it.

For instance: let me train stats and get them to 30 endurance and 20 strength and not have them wiped. How long might this be until we are able to do this?

Wipes mean everything is gone stash, levels, skills, etc. From time to time the devs will announce if something wont be reset like skills, etc. But this has not happened in which I believe in the past 2 wipes.

I understand this, my main question is when will they stop doing the "character level" wipes.

Short answer, Never?
OR probably not until the game fully releases and even then they have talked about doing wipes for like "Seasons" even after release. Something you will come to realize if you play the game enough is there is a point where you have all the money all the guns and really progression means nothing to you anymore. Wipes really revitalize the game.

To my understanding the season wipes on full release would be like you might have 2 pmcs, one forever and one for the season,. the one for the season would get wiped every season but could only play against other "Season" pmc's. Other games have had a system like this before although i dont even know that what tarkov will do or if it will start selling out servers like the old Arma 2/3 days.

then why have skills in the game? not to mention the abysmal leveling of them for the perks. If they consistently wipe everything, this game will die out. No persistence = bad news

Doing wipes after full release is a sign of flawed and shallow gameplay. Whats the incentive to play if nothing you loot, build or earn cannot be kept. Everything is EFT is about exploitation. Whoever has more time and money has it easier, while those who buy standard edition and arent streamers have to struggle. It feels so Chinese exploitation mmorpg
