Hi there,

I'm a new streamer on Twitch, mainly streaming EFT. I have setup a cam, couple graphics and banners and all in all it's going well so far. Was just wondering about any tips people have for attracting new viewers and more importantly keeping them coming back. I've only been streaming for a couple days so I'm not expecting the world, just a couple pointers on what to do and what to avoid. A couple things I know so far:

- Avoid paid bot followers

- Avoid paid advertisements

- Try to put effort into your stream, it shows

Any others?

I will link my stream here so if anyone fancies coming along and checking it out please do! I will be streaming this evening some squad and solo gameplay!

Peace!

Good luck with the stream.  Only suggestions I would have is keep being engaged with your stream even if you think no one is watching. Maybe also team up as a duo with another small stream.

@The_Orgazoid It's a grind. I streamed for about a year then I recently had to take a break since my son was born. Main thing I can say is have something different. Something unique to your stream that people can't find anywhere else. I'm not the best at games but decent, I have my winning 3v1 moments then I have moments where I go face to face with a shotty and I miss 8 rounds in a row :P. I'm decently funny so I'm very much the middle of the pack kinda person. In my experience there are the 3 following types of streamers (as well as some hybrids between the groups):

1. Expert- focus on the game play, Clean headshots, good fps knowledge, win most of your fights with superior aim

2. Geek- Do your research and be VERY well versed in whatever game you want to main (for EFT learn ammo charts, loot spawns, how pen chance works etc.). Spit out facts and tips to help people at all aspects of the game.

3. Entertainer- Focus on being an entertainer and just be fun to watch. (Dr Disrespect really elevates this category wether people like him or not)

I myself like to think I fall in like the mid to lower range of all 3 categories :P (twitch.tv/roosterbooster_).

The main this is just have fun and always be talking. Doesn't matter if there is no one watching. Put ttv in your name on games (yes It's a cheesy tactic and it could get you killed :P but it does help getting random people into the stream in the early stages). If you find it hard talking all the time try to play with someone else (either another streamer or just a friend) to keep a conversation flowing.

Above all else. NEVER FORGET. It's the internet, someone will always know more about some topic than you :P so don't sweat the trolls (remember they are viewers too! :P) and keep it calm, cool, and entertaining!

Good luck my friend, Ill drop a follow ;)
