MarkOneUp Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 (edited) so patch 0.12.1.5413 recently came out and decided to look it over and while some changes are good this one strikes me as odd. "If you entered the raid in a group and were killed by a member of your group, then in the main menu you will only 1% of health, not 30%" im not sure what this change was targeted at? the other changes i can see what the target was for the change but i don't see why we are now punishing people who GET TK'd in a group instead of punishing the person who did the TK. in my head more players are hurt by this change than helped by it. teammate throw a bad nade and killed you by accident? longer wait time to use your PMC teammate mistakenly shot and killed you? longer wait time to use your PMC use the looking for group feature and get killed by one of the players for your gear? longer wait time to use your PMC im not sure what spurred this change, maybe to encourage more solo play but thats my only look at it maybe someone can explain why this was a change Edited January 23, 2020 by MarkOneUp forgot to add tag Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Several forms of exploiting involved damaging teammates, specifically for things like strength/health/vitality/stress resistance. As a form of counter measure, it punishes you for being TK'd to further deter people from doing that. the 0.1% of the time that you actually get TK'd is more than balanced out by the intended goal of further shutting down exploiters in their endeavors. Ah ok, see i didn't know this was a thing im still fairly new to the game so i didn't know that was a form of exploiting. I still stand by my statement though that this is a very odd way of doing it since they also added in the "exhausted" condition to skills to deter exploiting them but i guess this will have to be one of those wait and see things. thanks for clearing up the target of that part of the patch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I remember, the exhaustion status was only added in a week or two ago, whereas the death changes were added quite some time ago. Now it's kind of a double punishment for people should they choose to exploit. I'm pretty sure that's the case, but I could be wrong.
