Any advice from solo players on this? did the customs part hid the docs at factory and got shot trying to extract factory gate 3 so i now need to do the customs part again? is that right?

whats the best approach to the factory part dont go near factory much tbh

I know someone will say do it in a group but i dont play on easy mode no offence.

Hey man.

All the quests I've done thus far have been solo, so perhaps I can chime in with a few tips:

First off, yes. If you die on your PMC, while the document is in your raid-quest stash, then you'll need to reacquire it from Customs.

I normally do my quests at night-time. I've had decent success compared to day-time. You'll encounter more PMC's, in my experience, at daytime which means more action. Usually, that's great and something I welcome.

However, if I have a quest, I want to get it done. Night-time works for me in that regard.

I also take my time. Especially on factory. I realize some players may have the exact opposite approach but taking my time and evaluating the current situation to make the best decision, has helped me a lot.

Sometimes it makes sense to rush. Sometimes it makes sense to chill. Sometimes it makes sense to shoot. Other times it makes sense to hold the trigger. All of this could be true in the same position on the same map but at different times.

It all depends upon the current situation and in my opinion, reading the situation you're in, and making a decision based upon that, is a big part of escaping Tarkov.

For this specific quest on factory:

Get an AS VAL, pimp it out as you see fit but use 30-round mags. Get a face-shield and bring at least one stimulant (along with obligatory stuff, meds, body armour etc.)

Before you run up the stairs either on the outside or the inside, to the building where you have to place the document, pop your stimulant. This will increase the likelihood that you'll survive any potential encounter, when you're done and trying to extract.

I've being doing quest solo. Rather casually, as in I don't play for very long and don't bring in good loot unless needed.

When doing the quest "Delivery from the past", spawn location helps. My 5th attempt I spawn right next to the location I need to be by. Was able to get it placed.

This was daytime, and its been stated by both streamers and the community, that night time Factory can be rather barren. Just lay prone and wait for the gun fire to go down. Then go for it. However, keep in mind that all it takes is one bloke with NVGs to tottally ruin this.

Trust me when I say the golden watch quest from prapor is the worst. Many will camp the room with shotguns or you will be racing against squads going to the marked room. However the same tactic applies. Find a corner and go prone and wait till the halfway mark. Again do this at night. Unless you spawn right next to the dorms, don't risk it.

Last bit of poo advice.

If you want to try and fight/be able to kill scavs don't bring in a high value gun like a AS VAL. This game is all about who shoots first, not who has the best gun.

Recommend on throw away runs using a Saiga-9 with a cheapo suppressor. You will be able to kill scavs and potentially kill a player with no face shield.

Shotguns are a good choice as well.

AK-74Us are rather cheap the last Time I checked also.

No if you put the item down in factory ( go to the spot, press f to put it down and wait for the timer ), then you can die after that step.

It will say you put the item down but did not survive the raid, all you gotta do is do a factory run and get out, nothing more.

So i dont need to do customs again that helps.

Thought it was strange that part of the quest is still ticked off back to factory it is then cheers.
