like what is this game from what I have figured you are a mercenary with amnesia. you run around for 50 minutes looking through recently abandoned areas for boxes of milk and juice. the only danger is other people who also have to go to the same place as you. at the end of the timer you just die like why? is your battery dead are you some kind of robot? the screen just goes black

TL;DR:

International city near the Baltic sea. Western and Russian cooperation make Tarkov into metropolis

Big bad (American) capitalist pigs start doing illegal business deals and criminal things in Tarkov through Private Military Companies. Noble Russian government sends in their own PMCs to investigate American corporations and bring them to justice.

City falls apart. UN(TAR) comes in to save the day. However the UN(TAR) is merely a puppet of corrupt Western governments and corporations. Now city is shithole.

Objective? Escape from Tarkov.

that dont explain anything why do you die after the timer what is killing everyone and why does everyone have to escape the same path. a bunch of words with no real information

the lore is scattered although there is a book about a character in "tarkov" that goes into a lot of the lore (you can buy it from them and they even give you some free loot with it apparently)

They have actually said they want a full story mode in tarkov at some point and supposedly the first completely pve mission will be in at some point is the entire idea of why you have a quest to get lvl 10 of sniper because after that will be a PVE mission of you ambushing a convoy on a road. no idea how any of that is going to work but they actually want tarkov to have some solo based stuff outside of raids

The book was pretty awesome. I bought and enjoyed it. And you do indeed get some loot with it too! I'd say the couple quid is worth it for what you get! Would recommend.
