issues37
How come enemies and players show up as red in sight? Seems some are red and some are not.. i may be wrong... Anyway what is up with that red color? Shoudnt they be the same white/black colour as the enviroment?
Sir_Mossy
It's because, as some people have stated and is 100% true, the thermals in-game are designed as more of a player detector than actual thermal sights. They highlight players and items, while keeping everything else gray. That is obviously not how a thermal works and will most likely be adjusted in time. That's why the thermal goggles are so powerful, since everything is a dark gray and any enemy is a bright white.
issues37
Thank you Sir_Mossy for your quick reply. I've used thermals in real life and can confirm what you are saying that they dont make enemies red. Guess I was hoping it was a new kind of tech I didnt know about... Im surprised they went in that direction since alot of other things in this game feels realistic. It is pretty stupid since thermal in itself is already a good tool as it is.. they really didnt have to make enemies red Its pretty overkill if you ask me. Still why are some enemies red tho and some are normal white? Is it to tell pmc apart from scavs? I dont get it...
