Splatterypants
OK, I'm new and I'm learning, so I take the blame for most of the frustrating raids where I end up buying meds rather than sorting through phat lewts. So i take my time to do it right and get to the only available extraction point which doesn't require special equipment or have ????, with a couple of minutes to go, weighed down by a full backpack, and when I get there it randomly decides I need a friendly SCAV to get out. It's right about then I start to wonder if EFT is some special kind of torture. This was after soon another raid where I made it too extrraction with 35secs to go, I went through the extraction countdown thinking I had time to spare only to lose everything because the game somehow decided I hadn't made it in time and I'm MIA. WTF?? What is the point in relentlessly punishing players in this way? This game is hard and I get that it's meant to be hard, but why go the extra mile to make it harder? I've burned through 1 million rubles in a week through failed raids, mostly through being careless, but when i do everything right, I don't want the goal posts to suddenly move. How does that attract new players? Edited February 15, 2020 by Splatterypants

How does that attract new players? so to the first part that is on reserve and literally the only extraction in the game that requires that, its not random the scav extract always requires a scav (or a player if you are a scav). With the exception for a bugged one on customs all extractions work as they should. Some are pay, some require actions on map, some require specific items. others just require you to go to location. Do some research or just ask the forum if you are unsure about which is which the second one, yea under a minute the server messes up some but i've had a friend extract under 5 seconds so it does work. Honestly you should really never be in a raid that long even as a scav i would suggest always trying to get out before the last 2 mins, (Really closer to before 10 min timer happens but some scav raids thats impossible) to your overall question, the answer is yes. The game is supposed to be punishing, its a harcore shooter but if you are spending that much at low levels you are playing wrong. I dont think ive spent money on a gun or armor till lvl 25-30 or so (buying a gun that is, always mod your weapons). You should use returns and scav raid weapons as much as possible and focus on grinding quests and making money. If you buy armor meds ammo helmet, every raid Ya you are gonna lose too much. Early game dont worry about armor or helmet, do always take a comtac. but everything else should be found in raid. Insure your gun and after your first kill take their gun and toss yours
