I'm having trouble to make money and, at the same time, I spend it at gear and often die or get out with bad loot.

have to invest money to make money as general rule, but that doesnt mean always go in with best gear possible, instead its good if you set yourself a budget standard loadout...which is totally up to you - enjoy the mosin? why not - prefer sks? sure - its up to you what you like to play, just need to invest in the right ammo (should be good against t4 atleast as most player wear t3/4 aswell as some scavs might wear that aswell)

so now you decided what your minimal invest for every raid should be, now the big question: how do you keep that up all the time without ever getting broke? - easy (or not that easy but kinda easy) focus on loot spots that most people wont use early, if you know the map and player spawns youre pretty safe in the first loot locations (which arent the best but they can easily give you 30-40k for your secure container, talking bout alpha container with keytool 3 slots left) - so even with worst loot location you should be at atleast 30k with 3 slots, sounds like nothing but its atleast the weapon + ammo, maybe even a bit more

now youre fine to "play" , kill some scavs, wait a bit, loot them, swap good things for bad things and sooner than you expect youre already on profit even if you die, not even talking about the 2-300k on extract, just with common loot

now that you got a bit of money in your stash you can set yourself bigger goals, going for the big locations with good spawns (dorms, scav bosses, resort etc.), chance is high that you die, chance is also high that you learn something about the place youre at and how to play it - now the funny part, even if you die 5 times in a row, if you manage to extract once with all the juicy loot youre at profit

other possible money making ways are hatchling runs (even with scavs running behind you you can easily get some loot for your secure container), play as scav whenever you can, sell what you dont need, play what you dont sell - when having a good backup money ready go for big loot locations with scav aswell (not even joking if scav boss was killed by solo player theres lots of loot left, also dorms or resort cant be completely looted as its so much)

keep in mind that most things are worth a bit, even if its just 5k its 5k more than before

now to the 2nd part, how to run raids...hard question...whats the way you prefer? whats the way you score best with? 70% (not a confirmed number, but my personal thinking) of the pvp happens in the first 5 minutes of the game, so if you dont want to enter pvp just watch out the first minutes for other players to come by (waiting at your spawn for spawns nearby to run through, not doing that myself as i want to rush good locations but i die to that every now and then), learn the scav spawns and possible locations, dont always kill them (if theres a scav behind you and he wont see you thats good, if next player comes behind you and decides to kill the scav or even if hes seen by the scav you will know and have a major advantage compared to the disadvantage of someone sneaking up from behind)

last but not least dont be feared of losing your gear, you can only become better and learn about the game, even the best players die every now and then, and even if you dont have anything left you can always reset your account

enjoy the game, hope i could help you
