Dying from no food/water

Is this how you strive for realism and good gameplay?

Starving to death in a matter of mere minutes? Even a bleed doesn't kill your character as fast as an empty stomach does.

This isn't food hunting simulator. We get it, you fat fucks couldn't live without food but most of us can survive for days and even weeks without it.

The food and water mechanics are quite good as they are, and tie in well to the stamina system.

Killing just a few scavs will give you access to all the food and water you need, but if you're having trouble you can try training your metabolism.

It’s not even an issue lol. Just bring a drink/ food with you. I think I’ve died from that kind of thing maybe once. Are you just sprinting in circles for 25+ minutes or something?

???

You can find at BARE MINIMUM 10-15 drinks and 20+ pieces of food on any map other than factory. How in the world can you struggle that hard finding food when it's legit everywhere? If you're playing as a PMC, then maybe use your brain and bring a lunchbox/water bottle in your backpack before you go into a raid.

Another thing you clearly forget is that time in-game is accelerated. One real life second is roughly 7 seconds in-game, so 30 minutes of in-game time is roughly equivalent to about 4 hours of real life time. One raid at full length (50 minutes roughly) is almost 7 hours. That's a lot of time to be walking around, shooting people, sweating, getting shot at, etc. Ever notice how you can play a raid starting at around noon and leave the raid after sunset? That's not for show, but rather to show that you've spent half of an in-game day in raid.

You can shriek all you want about it being "unrealistic", but the point is for it to be a mechanic you actually have to worry about. If you could "Go DaYs WiThOuT fOoD oR wAtEr", then why would it be a mechanic in-game if it was irrelevant? 2 in-game days is the equivalent of about 6 full 50-minute raids or 12 half-length raids. Would there be a point to EVER worry about food/water if you could go 6-12 raids before actually suffering from it?

So if it takes someone in real life 5 seconds to sprint 40 meters, then it would take them 35 seconds in sprint 40 meters in Tarkov time? And apparently it take 15x times the calories per meter as well.

It is a video game....

Look at yourself in the mirror, could you do the things you do in a video game? If the answer is no then you are always playing something that is not realistic to yourself. Take a deep breathe and relax and have fun or find something else to do, life is too short. If this is not a troll post I'd be concerned for you. GG

No they are not. They actually breaks the game if you run out of food.

This post is 20 years old, you don't need to boost it just because you can't find something to eat in a map where half the items are food or drinks. And you don't need to play 24/7, stamina and water also restore while you are not in raid if it is so hard to find food.

There is so much food and water all over the map it is really your own fault if you die from it. Learn where stashes and duffle bags are, as well as the location of food spawns. Problem solved.
