ViolentVeggies
I have pumped over around 300 hours into this game in the last couple of months and absolutely love it. Not often I do this so go easy on me (any elitists out there) The new patch has changed the game far too much in terms of the following:- - Weight issue. For me this game has being a looter shooter and I think I speak for many who find the game to be the same. Some people who are new (me included) need to be looting as much as we can to then make money to compete with those well into the wipe. I feel the flea market really helps bring a balance to those who are new to the game and who are casual players who don't have that time to level the deals to get to "end game". I have a real issue with some gamers who say "play the game how it's intended" which when playing a RPG looter shooter what ever it is.....surely you can play it which ever way you choose, that suits you. I choose to quest a LITTLE, I also choose to make money, buy stupid load-outs, die, repeat often. With the new weight mechanic looting has now significantly changed and limited per raid if you want to maintain a significant chance of survival and over all it makes the game more slow paced and even harder for casual players to compete with those "end game" players mid/end wipe. -Head bob issue. I really don't get why we now have this way over exaggerated head bob system which is just ridiculous. Playing with a predator monitor and sitting close to the screen, it's almost nauseating. -Don't remember the name, but the fatigue thing. I do like! Takes the rush of a feels like a COD game out of it. Still loving the game and intend on keeping on with it. I just feel these changes are really going to lose some of the casual and new players. I dare say hatchlings will be even more of an issue as they will run in, with a gamma, loot the graphics cards etc, not be over weight, possibly kill players who are over weight with a distinct advantage and come away with even more than hatchlings did previous. To have a little input here too. Those that want to quest and think that's all the game is then great..... keep on keeping on, from reading other threads right now it appears some people don't appreciate different play styles and I guess timely commitments. Zolty47
Loots value is not only determined by irs prize and taken space in your inventory, but also by its weight now. People will need to adjust the loot evaluation in this regard. The game becomes even more realistic. Some items may be precious, but so heavy that they make you a sitting duck. So its real value decreases. Its more to relearn and adjust. If you play by ignoring the weight factor then you will get unwelcome surprises. My perspective about the hatchling / secure container dynamic: I agree about the game being a highrisk loot shooter with realistic survival elements, but the one and only person who defines the games identity is the lead developer Nikita. He also wants it to be an RPG heavy game. The skill system was therefore designed with that in mind and I hate it, but others love it. I guess everyone sees the games identity a bit different in line with his own favourite part of it. For me its a high risk loot shooter, for me hatchling (secure container used as instant beam into heaven loot box) runs dont fit in this game. But mainly not because of avoiding risk, but instead it takes the possibility away for other players to get this precious loot. Lets fight for the loot. Being the fastest and being the first by the best loot rooms may be fine, if you would have to defend the loot and escape with it. So other players can at least the chance to eliminate you and take the loot for themselves. That would be a fair gaming experience imo, always remember that we play WITH people, not against them. Set the game mechanics in this way, that everybody can enjoy the game without falling short of it.
