Probably not a new suggestion but...

Are the Devs ever going to implement SOME sort of matchmaking system? Or will it always be whoever queues up in a relative time gets matched up? I'm quite tired of being farmed by high level players that have purchased the EoD edition of the game reducing my bullets to rice krispies and my armor to paper mache. I deal next to no damage and resist no damage with whatever I can afford to buy. And those that HAVE the resources to re-up or purchase their gear again after a match just rush me everytime. I try to purchase better gear and equipment but I'm always gunned down by some dolt that starts their spray before they 'round the corner.

Is this game really pay to win? I've received a lot of redundant and patronizing advice thus far but none of it is practical or helpful yet. It seems that they mechanical systems in this game are inherently broken in favor of early adopters/frequent players. Why would the developers for a game still in beta make it so difficult for new players to get into the game? Why would they intentionally make the meta so incorrigibly difficult to get into? It seems so very counter intuitive to the growth and objective of having a hardcore massive survival shooter. Otherwise it's just a match with 3 people standing off on opposite sides of each massive map waiting for someone to make the move that the other players can not observe and then the timer runs out or it's a mad dash towards the extraction, if they aren't camped. Why design a game to have a meta so broken?

I think that is pretty apparently acknowledged in my post. Forgive me if it is not, but that is the central focus around the entire post. I appreciate your contribution though.

The short answer is NO.

EFT is more focused on teams. While playing and finishing EFT as a solo player is possible, it is going to be harder. Basically it is like giving yourself a permanent handicap.

Ways around this exist. For example, joining a group or discord so you have others to team up with. Asking for Sherpa assistance. Or simply pushing through the solo learning curve. EOD advantages do not change the values of damage received or handed out. EOD gives you a bit more starting equipment, money and trader loyalty level.

A good player with a standard account will always trump over a bad player with EOD. Even 9mm can kill a heavily armored opponent if you set it up right with a shot to the face or a mag to the leg. Its not very realistic but every game has a meta.

EFT is meant to be hard. In the future there will be some more features to help new players ease onto the mechanical part of gameplay, but there will always be a learning curve to push through.
