For the casual player

Following the same idea of your pmc character and your scav character why not an offline character?

We have all been there, you spawn in all geared ready to and someone one taps you from miles away. Its all part of the game and certainly a great feeling to be behind the scope in those situations but understandably very frustrating. While I've only been playing for a short amount of time i find myself in a more casual mood time to time. Most of the time i tend to gravitate towards offline mode.

So what am i suggesting?

An offline character that can complete quests, level up, keep items and gain stats from offline mode. it would be a separate character from the online pmc so if you wanted to play with friends or try to get better gear then one must go onto their online character and use that (aka not the loot/gear bought/found by the offline one). Yes this would cause conflict with flea market as that is online but maybe make it so you cant sell only buy? Maybe have what ever number of pmcs that spawn be extra geared scavs for the challenge and pmc tasks? Im not to educated on how the scav AI works but maybe if your killed in this mode there is a chance they could loot you so you cant get it back from insurance? I do agree that hardcore playing online and losing your gear to another player is half the fun, but certainly off putting for those with bad internet and not in the mood to play so seriously.

Now any dev reading might think "Why go through all this trouble?" and that would be a question to ask but i have friends who can go weeks without playing because they have 'gear fear' or  just want to have a nice raid without hackers/campers or getting killed within seconds. Again yes that is the name of the game and half the draw but its also off putting. My point is the longer someone doesn't play the game for any reason or any amount of time just means more time for them to find another game And no game developer wants that.

Think of it as a campaign mode.

The Devs have confirmed that there will not a an Offline game mode.
They told us there would be a Co-op part of the game but they quickly scrapped that idea.
Because Tarkov is a team based shoot the crap out of each other game.

Not DOOM, not COD not Minecraft, and certainly not JRPG.
Stop asking for the Devs to introduce contents that are not relevant to the direction of the game.

If you want them, you can code them and make your own game.
Unity is a powerful indi game engine that provides all the things you need. <<< [not sponsored]
