My Honest Review Before Taking A Break

EFT has gotten worse over the last 4 months. Purchased before the streamer swarm of cancer players and played like it was my profession since.

This can go down as one of the best shooting games ever made but it won't from the looks of it. The graphics have gone down in quality. Now ever map is grainy and too bright for some reason. In order to have a clear picture you are forced to pop pain killers for some reason. When they expire, the screen doesn't go BACK to blurry. It's a stupid mechanic and one that I guarantee only trolls will say they enjoy it.

You want realistic but you allow bunny hopping, Balm on your lips to increase visual acuity, Scavs to one shot you for peaking because it is the only thing registered to be hit (while allowing someone to run around them in melee range and not be hit), ZERO RECOIL GUNS, 

Sometimes when the sun is almost behind something, the screen gets extremely dark.

I am able to 1v5 groups but then die to a random shotgun scav from a mile away because it hits my eyes.

My stash value is at 120 million, I have at a MINIMUM 50 meta guns because I enjoyed building them in groups that would fit a weapons case and am now realizing there is no actual purpose to having anything. The game is more fun to go in with less gear and make gear on the way out. Going in full kit is not only too heavy but doesn't really protect you because of the cheese mechanics implemented with bullets and armor.

The flea market is run by bots. Not just player bots farming the market to sell roubles for real cash, but by bots that BSG has implemented to keep things purchased and populated. I've seen items (and have proof) that fake accounts list and buy items to give the appearance that the market is flooded with players. Literally an item being listed and immediately only has 3 minutes left to purchase or the same exact item going up for the same exact price by 10-20 accounts AT THE SAME TIME. This does NOT reflect how a real market is.

I have posted positive posts trying to look passed the BS, recruited over 20 people to buy EFT and have trained more than that but the only option is to complain on the forums which very rarely gets any response. Half the responses from forum moderators are just simply trolls who have nothing better to do than fanboy instead of taking actual feedback and getting it the the development team. This game is designed for people to play at wipe, then quit half way through until next wipe. There is no endgame and if you think competing against ESP trashcans on Labs is endgame, I am sorry, you are wrong.

This game needs a ton of work and I understand it is in beta but it does not feel like any improvements are being made. All server issues aside, this game has downgraded over 4 months and it sucks because I love this game.

Graphics did not "go down in quality".

Now, in comparison to good few months ago, i can turn on taa high and multisampling x4 which increases graphics by a lot!

 

Grainy map? Must have something to do with ur rig. Oh hold on. Ur not meaning grainy but blurry. This is due to well known bug that resets settings of sharpness for some players.

Bunny hopping - as in like bunny hopping q3 for example? How can this be done? Please enlighten me.

Agree with flea market. Its ridicolous what is hapoening there.

In general, ur describing some stuff that i dont experience so it must be something specific to ur settings or rig. Ive been playing tarkov since .4 and although .4 - .6 was the best for me, with .8 ruining a lot - but due to cheaters, which must have nothing to do with game version when thinking about it now...people just got to realize thaf they can profit on tarkov. Graphics, AI, game performance got better, theres something happening with servers recently but in general, its SLOWLY..very SLOWLY.. going in right direction.

I think you have something going on with your settings that you need to figure out. I have no idea what you mean when you say the graphics have gone down in quality, nor the blurriness you speak of.

I actually agree with you about it being more fun to load in lightly geared. It's a huge thrill to make it out with a full kit that you've taken off kills. The weight of the gear and the way it affects you is still being tweaked, though, so hang in there.

You've explicitly said you have proof that fake accounts list and buy items for appearances. Could you show this proof? I'm legitimately curious what you have. BSG has tried to combat the problems with the flea market issues, and when they set items to have no delay in listing, I found that really helped a lot. I don't have any issues anymore.

You have every right to have your opinion. However, I think differently. In pretty much every way, BSG is doing an amazing job adding to and fixing their game. Issues have arisen because of their influx of new players, but all things said and done, it's still on the up and up. If you choose to disagree, I'd cordially invite you to play something else.

I've been part of plenty of betas. And I didn't say GTFO. My intent was to say that if you can't take the game and only care to complain about it, perhaps you'd be better off playing something more your style.

As someone involved with software development, I understand beta far more than most. Same goes for feedback. You're choosing to take offense where none was intended.

You said "If you disagree I invite you to play something else", which is a nicer way of saying gtfo. 

I can however see you didnt mean it this harshly, seeing your whole post is not set in this tone, so I might have jumped the conclusion a bit here. Still, saying someone to play another game because they dont share your view is a bit weird. He didnt just complain about it, he vented his issues with the game. He also said he loves the game.

This game is like a phoenix, every patch it revives itself from the ashes, only to die in blaze of fire until the next patch arrives, an endless cycle of boom and bust.

Been here since 2017, saw it all, read it all, played it all.

Unfortunately sooner or later everyone makes the realization that OP just made, thus feeding into the never ending cycle of rise an fall of player numbers driven by new patches and the hope that they may have fixed anything...

I have to agree this games amazing but....

 

With the recent patches and the poor resource control the game actually has on my system its regularly swallowing 20 gigs of memory that's horrifying.

 

This "stuttering" that was fixed and reduced last map has felt like it actually increased since last patch - I agree why even go in fully geared its pointless.

The market is fine if the devs want to keep a healthy game going let them - it makes sense.

 

But if y'all don't fix this fundamental issue of stuttering and random errors loading the game this poo will go tits up so fast your heads will spin. As a developer myself - you guys need to fix the fundamental bugs of your game before developing ANY new content. If you dont keep/attract new people this games doomed to phase out

Why do you feel you have the right to tell someone else what to play? Are you autoritharian or just lack common sense?
