Escapers!

Yesterday we've installed a minor technical update (0.12.4.6716)  that aimed at a potential improvement of the game performance.

We now want to gather your structured feedback:

 1. Did your performance improve after yesterday's patch?
 2. How much has the performance improved or maybe worsened?
 3. What is your hardware configuration?
 4. What are your game settings? (Screenshots will do)

Thanks in advance for your feedback and your continuous support!

Stay safe

The update made the game run a littke worse than before.

The stutters is back. Since the engine switch, the last month the game stutters every time you encounter a PMC and every time people spam nade you. In the fps 2 you can drag out, you can see everything go from green to red in seconds...

My hardware is:

32 DDr 4 ram trident g skill 3200MHZ

1080 GTX

Ryzen 7 2700

 1. I didn't notice anything.
 2. The stutters are worse and a bit longer. I have to restart my pc when I exit the game because it gets hung up (I can still use the pc, but I am stuck on the main screen when I exit and it doesnt respond.) Traders have a lag to them now as well.
 3. Ryzen 2700x, RTX 2080, 16 gb ram, game is on a 500gb WD Black M.2 ssd.
 4. What are your game settings? (Screenshots will do)

Does this patch include the fix "Lowsisback" proposed on Reddit?

https://www.reddit.com/user/lowsisback

Also Maybe you could link his profile at the top of the website so more people are trying the fixes so that you know who is using the best settings and who isn't and being negatively impacted because of it?

All the best!

1. Yes, but I never had major stutters. GPU usage would dip to 80-90% with PiP scope or certain sections of the map.

2. 10 FPS without PiP scope. 20+ FPS with PiP scope. GPU usage at 95% or higher in all situations.

3. 9900K 5.0 GHz, 1080 Ti, 32GB DDR4 3800

4. Ultra Low Latency, enabled in Nvidia control panel. In game settings attached.2025165366_2020-04-1302-03(1).thumb.png.d8e56449000c88c6ebd7400edad00d1c.png1915884343_2020-04-1302-03(0).thumb.png.f27a581064f23aa68520000c23bfaa43.png

I did following:

Turned OFF use only physical cores

Turned OFF memory cleaner

Turned ON nvidia threaded optimization from nvidia control panel for Escape from Tarkov.

I have now 120 FPS @ shoreline, and 80-90 scoped in. I used to have 85ish and 55-60 scoped. Massive improvement and no stutters so far.

My specs are i7 4930k running at 4,400 MHz and RTX 2070 Super running stock.

1. Yes

2. 30+

3.  i7 4930k running at 4,400 MHz and RTX 2070 Super running stock - 32GB of RAM, game on SSD.

4. Texture High, All else low,  TAA on.

1. Did your performance improve after yesterday's patch? Yes, massive. Feels much smoother, but them get stutters.
 2. How much has the performance improved or maybe worsened? From 60 FPS on reserve to 95-105 FPS
 3. What is your hardware configuration? 3900x, 2080ti, 3440x1440 Gsync, 32gb RAM
 4. What are your game settings? (Screenshots will do) Textures med, pretty much all else on low/off. LOD 400

@ all these people riding "no" did u really test it since yesterdays patch?? i get 15-20 fps more on reserve and interchange with textures and shadows on high and TAA and 1x off everthing else off and stutters are almost gone for me right now

1. Yes! Very noticable improvement, especially on reserve;
 2. Reserve was basically unplayable for me with huge amount of stutters and lags; At start I would lag heavily for first minute and then constantly microstutter every 10 sec or so. Now i barely lag on start and gameplay is the smoothest I had since forever(+15-20 fps across the board); one stutter every 5-8 minutes, no stutters during gunfights. Minor improvement on scopes (Around +5fps)
 3. AMD Ryzen 3600 OC @4,2GHz, 16GB DDR4 3600MHz, GTX 970 OC (I know its a bottleneck, working on it) ("Physical Cores Only" Disabled in options)

 1. Did your performance improve after yesterday's patch?

I would say it's about the same.

 2. How much has the performance improved or maybe worsened?

I did not notice any improvement. But then again, I only played a few raids.

 3. What is your hardware configuration?

I7 4970K w/ 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080ti

 4. What are your game settings? (Screenshots will do)

For me the stutters have slowed down, almost kind of like a second of lag, but if i exit the game ether by the menu or Alt + 4 the game forces my to restart my pc otherwise i will be stuck on the splash screen of EFT, I submit a bug report in the launcher but saw this post so letting you know here, thanks!

1. Yes, quite a bit
2. Increase delta of about 25-30 fps, render time cut in half (ex 10ms to 5ms), and fps drops much less when scoping. Stutters are just as if not less frequent (not many to begin with) and when stutters do happen they actually are quicker with less frame drop. Still noticed that having "Use physical cores only" still nets an extra few fps compared to not.
3. i7 4790k @ 4.6GHz, RTX 2070, 16gb 1866MHz DDR3, installed on an SSD game drive.
4. Settings are as follows
High Textures
High Shadows
Minimum Object Distance
Max Overall Vis
95 Shadow Visibility (150 Max)
Supersampling OFF
TAA High
Medium HBAO
Antisotropic FIltering ON
Sharpness Value 1.6 out of 3.0
Grass Shadows On or Off (irrelevant)
Every other value OFF
Fullscreen 2560x1440

 1. Actualy not.
 2. Quite same as usual
 3. CPU 9900K

    PSU 1000W

Mobo rog strix maximus hero XI

1. Yes

2. improved by about 25% (100fps on reserve compared to 70 before)

3. Ryzen 3600x all cores @4.375 GHz, RX5700XT stock

4. All high, TAA on, SSAO off, Anisotropic per texture, bottom row all unticked

@Cyver You need to tell the people to untick the use only physical cores option in general settings, to see any improvement on multi-threaded CPUs.

Finally the game runs as it should. Give the OP guy on Reddit a medal!!!

I do agree with the performence, I have really good fps right now, but if the game run for too long, it start going down again. I personally have less stutter, but they are massive when they happen ( those usually happen during gunfight )
I played the entire day.

This is done with Threaded Optimization set to Auto in Nvidia Control Panel

1. Yes. I see an improvement on all maps.
- I have physical cores enabled which for me __removes__ stutters
- I have physical cores enabled which evens out the framerate
- I have physical cores enabled which improves my fps by 5-25 fps on ALL maps

2. I have a 5-25fps Increase

Hey there everyone,

1. ABSOLUTELY YES!
2. 20-30 fps additional
3. i7-8700k 4.20 GHz  \ GTX 1080 Hybrid \ 32GB 3200 MHz \ Tarkov located on a NVMe 1TB
4. IMO IMPORTANT!!! I Disabled "Use only the Physical Cores" for this update according to the OP from reddit that suggested this fix to Nikita.
