No scope glint in real life > No scope glint in game! If you keep a sniper to his task and abilities during combat, there´s no further need for balancing. imho its more the quickscoping-bullshit

will the scopes have the scope glint mechanic? (ie scopes will have a small shine to it if you look at it from the front)

God I hope not. Devs said that the majority of the combat would take place in urban locations, therefore snipers wouldn't have much use, adding glint would make them even more useless.

I remember pre-patch it used to be brighter than the actual tactical light.

Why not stocks? :)

Late reply af, but the stock is an integral part of the weapon, thus you can't replace it. Unless you're referring to like bandages or serial markings, in which case +1.

Hope it will be 1 shoot 1 kill coz its quite nice caliber or atleast cause heavy bleeding.

I agree with this, but it has to get all the bad sides like weight (be slowed while using it), a long time to scope, etc.

What is the flat piece on top of the barrel?

It's a mirage shield. When your barrel is hot (after a succession of shots or because you are in a hot region), a "heat mirage" (same like the blurry thing you see above roads in summer) can appear and make your scope sight very difficult (or nearly useless due to distortion).

The thing is, scope glint is a problem in real life. It happens and snipers use a thing called a kill flash tostop it from happening

make it like the awp from Counter Strike. (one shot headshot or body shot regaurdless of armor and  to the leg or arm) and add some scope sway

Yes, I know what an ARD is, I have one for each of my optics IRL. But the scope glint you see in real life versus what you see in video games is VERY different.

For reference, this is what scope glint looks like in reality:

And then this is what it looks like in Battlefield:

As you can see, the scope glint is highly exaggerated in order to help the player find the sniper more quickly, and thus keep it balanced.

Yea it is very overkill how they portrait scope glint in the Battlefield franchise
