Major lag with capeable rig

Few months back I was able to average out at 120fps, some drops down to 90, but not often. Now I seem to be running around with 60 - 70 fps average, with some areas reaching downwards 50-54 fps.

I have a 7700K clocked at 4.8Ghz
MSI GTX 1080 Ti overclocked, not sure about clock speed.
16Gb of Gddr4 ram at native 3200Mhz
Game is installed on an SSD.

Running with a 1080P 144Hz monitor. I have updated every aspect of my computer, searched for malware, uninstalled tons of stuff and nothing even remotly impacted the FPS. I tried going into an Offline match to play around with the setting, going from Low, Max to mixed settings. Nothing increases thre FPS. I have searched on google for Nvidia panel options, but no success on FPS.

I have tried several other games to check if they ran bad, but every other game I tried seem to run perfect. Call of Duty 2019 actually gained some FPS after my cleanup, now averaging at 190-200 (uncapped) spiking to 240 in some areas. So it must be Trakov :(

Did this game recieve any updates that impacted FPS, or is there a secret way of playing with better FPS. I can sure as hell not play with this :P

MSI Afterburner caused issues when I ran it so try without overclocking. Otherwise, the stuttering and optimization issues in this game are second to none so there won't be a fix out there that actually works.

So what you are saying is, if turning MSI OC off doesn't fix anything, then this is what I gotta live with as is now?

Damn, this game has been into developement for so long. I appreciate the idea of this game, I just can't enjoy it then.

I definetly concur with this. I am out in japan currently so I am playing on my laptop which has a 2080 max Q gc. Since the max Q gc's give up performance to keep them from overheating I had been using Afterburner to thwart its design but after recent updates the overclocking of my gc was actually causing lag. I turned it off and now its doing much better. Its strange but its worth to play around with.

Will EFT ever change game engine? They went from CryEngine to Unity. I have heard it was to optimize the game, but we're then stuck with a game engine that doesn't care about multi cores or threads? Wouldn't it be better to just go with Unreal Engine.

They are sticking with unity. They are getting ready to update to the newer engine. Again.

Plus they said a while ago that they won't be doing any major optimization until around release time. Which is smart since all the technical stuff will be in the game and they can then focus on optimisation. Till then.. well it's not going to get too much better.
