Sound of "covert movement"

Is it just me or is the sound of covert movement as loud as nomal movement?
Before the wipe I could move crouched and have had "caps-lock" and I dodn't hear a noise.
Now I hear my footsteps on every type of surface - I first thought it had something to do with the binaural sound, but it makes no difference.

Same, I realised this on this patch also.

Maybe they changed it that you have to level up your covert movement skill to a certain level? I'm not sure..

We need to level it and check the difference. I have noticed it too

I'm new but the increase in volume with this new patch kinda stinks for solo runs, especially.

I'd like to believe its a BUG. Otherwise its just ridicilous. Right now there is practically no point in changing movement speed at all. Will a dev or a mod let us know whats going on with this???
