Lvl 3 vs Lvl 23. Seriously?

Just bought the game and FINALLY reached lvl 3. But the wipe was already long ago, that I'm up up against guys that are fully kitted, which makes it almost impossible for me to make it to lvl 10 where I can start buying off of the Flea Market. Sure, I've done a ton of Scav runs and now have over 1 million rubles in the bank. But I can't use it to buy anything that will compete with a lvl 23, fully kitted guy with enough meds to laugh off anything I can do to him. And sure... I occasionaly get out alive from a Scav run with a mediocre rifle that works pretty good against Scavs. But I'm too late to the party. It takes me days of Scav runs before I can Kit up enough to try a PMC run. But with optics and ammo that can't compete with someone that started fresh on Day 1 of the wipe... I'm WAY WAY too out-classed. I can do Scav runs all day long, but that doesn't move me up a single Level. I'm stuck at lvl 3 and spending DAYS gathering a decent kit for someone at lvl 3. But then, I just hand it all over to the armored tanks I'm forced to go up against. 

So, other than the obviouse reply of "get good", can anyone offer some advice on how to push past this wall I'm beating my head against? I love the concept of this game and really want to keep playing. But I'm losing the morale to soldier on.

Liv 23 is nothing, there are already people at 40 ... apart from this I advise you to do many scav raids, avoid firefights and areas that are too hot, play sneaky and engage with other PMCs only in conditions of advantage , run away if things go badly, the important thing is to extract yourself in the end not kill the other players.

Buy 7.62 PS rounds from Prapor and decide on what gun you like to fire it. I recommend the SKS, teaches good play style imo.

Look up your PS rounds..and when you're less lazy you can look up future prospects as well.

Dont bring in a backpack or rig. Get it from scav AI that you kill. Kill all AI..even if you die you walk out with good XP and a measly sks lost with some ps rounds. You have a million roubles after all. If you survive you get tons more..like 3-4 levels in one go at early levels.

Bring a cheese med, a bandage and painkillers. Slap a splint or two in your storage container. Now you can be a pig too.

Use armor if you got it for free, otherwise git gud with scav AI. Players will pen whatever you can bring out now anyway.... and later on too. As you can see with your PS rounds that you already have unlocked at lvl 1 and looked up on the ammo chart. You can bring the helmet that you have available if you're feeling more confiident. It has high ricochet chance and could save your butt.

Besides that just make sure somewhere in your game plan there is chances of walking out with some loot that can pay your run if you put it in your storage container. Customs has a lot of of easy caches sprinkled around the map and they can pay for 2-3 SKS even without FIR status..

The best advice imo was already given above. Utilize stealth and aim for unexposed areas of the body.
Also, teaming up with friends will also increase your odds of winning against higher level players.

its not like this is WoW and lvl gives a huge advantage. @ lvl 1 you can buy a mosin with lps ammo that will one tap ANYONE in the head (unless saved by RNG ricochet) and pierces lvl 6 armor efficiently

Yea if you think level 23 is bad try 40+ with lvl 6 armor lol. It can definitely still be done. And wipe wasn’t too long ago. Mosin will be your best friend.

I started playing like the last week of last wipe and was againg what felt like all lvl50+ pmcs. I was still able to get to lvl 10 and get flea market before the wipe happened. So you can do it, just play more stealthy. A lot of the starter quests are on customs but I would recommend not playing that map starting off, lots of thick boys running around. Go for loot runs and scav kills and stay away from pmcs till you can get some decent gear. Play on shoreline or interchange. If you go shoreline sneak around the village and downtown areas looting (most players instantly rush the resort, loot and extract so you should be fairly safe. Might have to worry about the occasional player scav though. Interchange is a really easy map to lay low and go stealth and still stock up on more loot than you even know what to do with. However that map is bad with exit campers (they need more extraction locations to be honest) so either be very careful going to extraction. I'd recommend playing nighttime because you can still see inside the store good cause of all the lights but it will be dark outside so it will hep sneaking over to extractions.
