redcow
First off, I like Pestily's suggestion of adding search time depending on how many keys you have but I have an addition! I would like to see key noise added, a jingle jangle whenever you move, a single key on a key ring or in a sicc case would make no noise and the volume would increase progressively with each additional key! I think would add a cool factor to the game where you need to choose what million rouble keys to go into a raid with. thanks for reading! tweediebrd
I mean...they could add a noise for keys when you are moving, but that opens a whole can of worms. One, would you even really hear it? Over the steps, running, gun noises, or whatever, I doubt you would hear someone's keys moving in a pouch..... Further, your water bottles would need to swish as you walk, MREs and lunchboxes make a crinkle noise, grenades tossing around in a bag, gun parts, blah blah blah. Everything would probably make some noise. Doesn't seem like a change that would be worth the developer's effort or time.

Keys are on a keybar and they don't jingle if they are on a keybar. If keys are in a docs case they are in a flat leather container still no jingle.... I don't think increasing search time would make sense either maybe it seems like a balance thing but makes little sense in any reality. Maybe increase door unlocking time would make some sense but also keys degrade and can be rare so I don't think you should get gimped for having more keys really. There is also nothing stopping people from only taking some specific keys for the raid since a lot of the time people will bring random keys for the map in the keybar and rarely use them. redcow
yo yall never heard a janitor sprinting?? those keys are mad loud. remove the keybar for a keyring. Xeraphas, so i guess a case for documents has slots for 16 keys where theres no metal an metal, and the sicc case has individual pockets for each key too, and your character knows exactly which slot each key for each door is in that he instantly pulls out the right key when he gets to a door. also your character whips out his 16 key keybar and opens it to the right key immediately lol. tell how "This doesn't even make sense" in real life the speed difference of unlocking a lock when having 1 key compared to having 20 keys is immense. tweediebrd, im down with every item having a specific sound, make it more realisistic, I dig it.
