nexigen
I don't mind having a very limited selection of guns to start with, but I don't like that I can't upgrade any of those guns to put so much as a site on it. Like the AK-74u or anything from peacekeeper -- Once I hit level 10 and open the flea market up I know i can upgrade my guns easily and cheaply. But... I remember how overwhelming that was once I started to learn it. I think if they sell the gun they should sell a few upgrades for that gun too, so a new-comer can get a feel for modifying weapons. Even if the parts are sold at Mechanic while the guns are sold at the other two, that's fine too. Just to introduce the complexity of upgrades to a newcomer more gradually, I think it would be good. Xeraphas
As for guns at the start it really is good so stick to veprs/akm/adar/ak types and use pistols and steal your weapons from scavs to save money. Recoil control training can take a while and using a stock wooden ak still gets your ammo where it needs to go while giving you that xp and helps you learn to aim better since you have to add more timing and movement to your shots. There are several hand guards you will learn to pick up for early game attachments and a vpg adds a nice 7 ergo. I still make cheap aks a lot with a vpg and a b13/crvv/poly ak100 and iron sights because they get the job done and are easy to make. Parts are pretty easy to find and that ak quest can be exceptionally easy to do. I play solo 90% of the time and don't use the flea. I have played like this for many patches. There are ups and downs. Today has been pretty bad all the scavs I've run into are like robocop on a barrel of cocaine and he brought his lucky headshot pants to work. I also have crashed like 3 times and had some people come up on me with no sound. I still have made a profit today and gotten like 4 quests done and I'm standard edition too. Sometimes it's better to just play some matches and work on fighting with no quest goal and find some nice things. You can use those things later to do quests.
