Hackers moving into other maps now?

I've avoided Reserve and Labs because I know those are full of hackers/cheaters right now.

Been playing on the other maps with no issues (Get wrecked a lot but never in a way that is blatantly "WTF"). I'm just trying to quest and level up right now, and I hate Woods, so I tend to just hide somewhere and then watch YouTube or something and come back in the last 10 minutes, do the quest, kill some Scavs and extract.

I finally hit level 10, so finally have been able to run some good load outs with all the roubles I've saved.

So I'm in Woods, raid starts, no one around, and I hide in the best spots I could.

3 times in a row tonight.....I go prone in heavy foliage, and a few minutes after, I hear running straight toward me.

I hear them stop right outside where I'm at, like they know I'm there. Then instant head shot death. 3 different players, different spots, all shortly after the raid starts. One had a weird looking name with a bunch of random letters and numbers.

I'm pretty confident I was in good spots, I've hid in these spots before and had players run right past me. But this time they knew exactly where I was and where my head was despite being fully covered in foliage. Maybe it could be a coincidence and they just guessed or figured someone was there. Or maybe they had a thermal scope and can see through foliage? (not sure if thermals do that).

I've played like this a ton on Woods (but with crap gear) and never had this happen.

But if these are cheaters, I assume its because I'm running higher end gear, so they would see it on the ESP and know directly where to go. I've seen YouTube videos of them doing this on Labs/Reserve. I hope I'm wrong and those weren't cheaters. I would assume they would want to farm the better loot-filled maps, but I don't know.

Anyone have experience with suspected cheating on Woods?

nowadays every death is suspicious due to the complaining about cheater's topics on forums. even if some legit player kills me, i say in back of my mind "oh, was he cheating?!" now everyone triggered by cheaters, so i don't blame you. maybe they were cheaters, so you can report them through launcher.

With level 10 on Woods you don't need "higher end gear" to kill some scavs... every AK or a cheapo SKS or Mosin or even a pistol will do that job without risking a fortune.

i realized in this game, higher end gear for someone is lvl3 and 4, for others its lvl5 and 6 and even lvl2 or 3 is high end gear for hatchet runners.

so i don't think @GymTime meant lvl 5 or 6, while he is lvl 10.

in 270 raids i met about 3 obv hackers by not playing reserve and labs. today in just 7 raids i had 3. i guess tarkov for this wipe is coming to an end again.
