TheMrTGaming
I think the length of a guns barrel should modify the penetration of the bullet leaving the gun. To my knowledge, a longer barrel equals higher bullet velocity to a certain point, and higher bullet velocity means the bullet can punch through more. This would give players a reason to use snipers over dmr's in some instances. Like taking the M 700 with a 20 inch barrel over an m1a with a 16 inch barrel. The modifier wouldn't be massive, maybe just a couple points, but enough to make it noticeably better. This would affect guns like the hk416 and m4, but a longer barrel should give enough of an ergo reduction to make the player decide between higher pen and usability in cqb. This would also open the gate to 5.56 dmrs actually having a place. That's all, thanks.
ACuddlyBadger
Once they redo armor and add more specialized barrels for rifles, I hope they re evaluate the weapon parameters like barrel length affecting recoil, armor pen, and damage more realistically.
