Is the ping filter real?

Supposedly is set at 155...

 

Yet right now I can log onto the Sydney Australia server and the line up is literally 90% full of Chinese players...

Correct me if I'm wrong but China has a ping of about 300-250 to Australia.

 

Why is this happening and what is Nikita going to do to stop it?

 

Literally unplayable with pings that high running around everywhere and synchronizing with players takes 5 solid minutes.

Average Ping between Hong Kong and Sydney is 130, so i have no idea where you get those numbers

The Pinglimit is somewhere between 150-180, cant tell you where exactly it is and yes it is working, i had to experience it myself today

Mainland china has much higher average pings.

you can play in australia from china without getting kicked. depends on what route your connection is taking. i guess you can manage that with a vpn

Considering that these recent kicks have made it impossible for me to play, I'd say the 165 limit is working pretty well.
