Zyn_Walker
Hey gamers, So I am in a bit of a pickle. I played the f out of this game last wipe and had Borat great success with it, but I am struggling this wipe. (My first wipe) I am level 4 1/2 and I have completely run out of money. (Like 20k rouble run out of money) I am reduced to pistols and no backpacks/rigs. I grouped on discord and did some 5 mans and we all know how that goes. While it was really fun and I had a blast (ran a lot of discord groups last wipe), I did lose quit a bit in the process, and now I'm feeling kinda stuck unable to level up easily due to the lack of resources. I know I can do scav runs to gain some gear but I'm afraid going scav-pmc-scav-pmc would take forever. Would it be quicker for me to just reset to level 1 and try to play solo / smarter, or should I grind it out for the next 5.5 levels. I haven't found anything insane that I'm saving for the flea market so I'm not going to lose anything. Also while I'm thinking about it is it even possible to still reset your account to lvl 1 and regain your starter equipment? Thanks for the advice PS: This is not me complaining about the 1-10 level process, I made bad choices and have put myself in this position
IllegalSnow
Hey there Zyn, yes, it should still be possible to reset your account through your profile on the EFT website. Have you done any questing or hideout upgrades at all?

Have you done any questing or hideout upgrades at all? Just the "kill 5 scavs on customs" and the very basic level 1 hideouts you buy for low roubles. Looking back I wish I had waited for purchasing any hideout upgrades as it seems I need all the money possible for buying basic loadouts to get exp kills. I'm thinking of resseting and just scav farming to 10 and mainly avoiding the pvp areas (dorms ect)
Madplow
just do scav run every times it s up you will make money from this no need for reset
IllegalSnow
Good, it's a pretty good thing you didn't get too far then. I would advise one of two things: 1: Accept the low rubles and use your Scav to your advantage. It might not take as long as you think to get your money back if you do lot's of Scav runs (one run can pay 1M+ rubles if played really well). This might take time and patience but it would save your progress otherwise (plus it would get you backpacks ect.. to load up your PMC with). 2: Resetting your account is not the worst idea ever. You don't have much to lose at the moment and if you think you can play it a lot better and get yourself into a better position with a new account then I would consider it. I think either option would take you roughly the same time to get to where you want to be (the first option might be a little faster if done correctly). It a personal choice at the end of the day, you might be more comfortable having your starter gear back and all or you might like the challenge of going from where you are now to the good stuff. You should be alright with either choice my friend. Just take it easy and collect everything you can. It will surprise you how fast you will get there. No matter what option you choose, use your Scav. This will help you considerably. If you want a solid answer, I would lean towards pushing through it because I'd feel good picking myself back up from the ground and it's not as hard as it seems (most of the time). But again, personal choice. Edited July 15, 2020 by TheWhistler

Thanks for your advice, maybe I will accept the challenge and continue, if anything the game is still in BETA so I could look at it like an "opportunity" to experience the game in a way I might not be able to in the future. Cheers That's exactly right, the best thing about the game is: You play the way you want to. I can give you 100 ideas but the truth is, it matters how you want to play and experience the game. I really like the challenge, you may not. You will get there either way, especially if you know what you are doing when it comes to picking up the right items ect. If all else fails you can always choose to reset but you can't reset and choose the other option. Best of luck! Van_Hellspit
Scav factory man. You can earn so much money that way. Pretty much 1m a night. Find a hiding place, wait for the last 5 mins of play or when all the noise stops. Go out check your corners and hover up all the shiny loot. Raid, eat, sleep, repeat. At the end of a long week you should have at least 5m in the bank.
