Is this **really** what we want in the game?

Please note what you're seeing here: A player with the right stims can put on heavy high-tier armor, a rig, a backpack, carry a weapon, then jump so high he can clear his feet well above his own standing eye-level.

Seriously?

We applaud things like BSG's own The Raid series, depicting the harsh realities of war, and yet we turn a blind eye to in-game antics like these?

C'mon EFT community, we can help make a better game than this!

And BSG, you *know* deep down this style of play is not at all what you had in mind when you envisioned creating EFT. Please please please remember your dream and stick to your roots! EFT will be all the better for it!

PS: Nikita, I gotta hand it to you, your voice and accent make the, "I know you like to see their tears" line SO EPIC :)

not a fan of the new stims and i would like to see a 14 meter minimum arming distance on the nade launchers like they have in real life. They also need to fix Bhopping or peoepl will be jumping 20 feet at a time with the new stims...

And neck...

I don't get it...

New stims, skills, grenade launchers but very basics of game doesn't work properly...

First repair some major problems with game, then we can play with something more...

I personnaly like it. I think that stims, just like the obvious RPG mechanics of EFT, are a place where the game is willing to sacrify realism to throw some spicy things in the game. This is the vision that BSG have for the game, and I totally agree with it.

If you watched the whole podcast, Nikita says something pretty clear: we don't have a plan to make the game as realistic as possible, we want to play a game as realistic as playable.

Also don't forget that theses stims are super rare, they only drop on 1 boss in the game. The best way to balance OP items is by reducing their availability, wich will be the case for theses stims.

the jumping and Grenade  launchers are not a good thing for EFT....Seems they are trying to capture COD players and integrate them into an upgraded game but in turn downgrading it the True EFT fan base.....

We will now get to experience all sorts of glitches where people can jump from one area to another and before you know is they will be in otherwise impossible areas of the map for regular players

It seems to put out mixed signals. On the one hand Nikita repeatedly assures us the game will only get more hardcore and more tactical as development progresses, while on the other they showcase things like this.

I hope I'm misinterpreting things here, but I know for me, I'm more than ready for the game to tackle those long-teased hardcore right turns and finally put and end to some of the misplaced immersion breakers in the game.

I know it takes time and I know they have a lot on their plate. But is it too much to ask that they hold off on the more "silly" parts of the game until they have the wider context in place for them to make sense?

UPDATE: Apparently this was a bug and should NOT be present in the patch release. So for those of you who shared my concern, seems we can  rest easy 🙂
