Head hitbox

Hi all!

 

Is there something wrong with the head hitbox? Really enjoying the new patch but almost every death I've had so far has been either head eyes or head jaws. I barely ever seem to get hit anywhere else. Doesn't matter what range, what weapon or if I'm moving at the time it's very often boom headshot. Let me add that I'm pretty crap at the game anyway and die a lot so I have quite a bit of data to go on :-D

Id also like to ask something similar but reversed.

I shot a scav on the nose about 6 times from about two meters away.

Scav took zero dmg and I died obviously

Then game summary came up with around 500 absorbed by armor counter and all the scav had was that shitty tank helmet.

What causes this because I've encountered stuff like this 3 o 4 times in one day, one fo the instances for a PMC o SCAV player who absobed over 2000 points before dying (he was standing still) and all he had was a PACA armor, which btw was virtually intact when I looted it.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the hitbox itself.

It's become meta to aim for the head (fastest way to kill someone is to get a headshot for an insta kill) no matter what weapon or ammo you have. As long as your weapon/ammo can go through whatever potential face visor you've got equipped, people will go for the quickest way to kill you.

Over 70% of my kills are Headshots, I always aim for the head!

Damage system is underdeveloped.

There are multiple damage areas for the head, but nothing else.

 

I have always aimed for the neck in games, in this game it fucks me. As its considered to be the Thorax. The most armored section other than the stomach.

 

Everyone aims for the head, because its the only consistent area to shoot at.

Then you have people like me who just goes "OHSHITSHITHSTISHITHSITH" pewpepwpepwepwpe wherever "Am I alive?"
