W...T...F...

I guarantee this has nothing to do with their servers.  This is just their being no one trying to play a night raid in Customs ATM.  And I find it personally irritating that BSG would rather make me wait 10 minutes than let me into a game with less than their idea of how many people should be playing.

Please for the love of god...STOP...HAVING...SO...MUCH...CONTEMPT...FOR...US.  If I want to play night games to avoid heavy populations, then let me.  WTF?
Everything seems to be about controlling our behavior.  They used to have layers of servers so you could intentionally pick a less populated one.  That bothered them, so they changed it.  Now it seems they are just going to obstruct us from playing at all until it's 100% on their terms.

It's all getting so old.

Hopefully when Dead Matter comes out it will change the standard.  They are going to let people host their own servers, let the person paying for it define the ideal feel of the game.  Rather than cram their authority down everyone's throat.  With any luck gamers will not tolerate anything shy of that after.

Doesn't work like that. If there is no one looking but space on server to create a session, it will put you in a game alone. If there are too many sessions live, you'll get stuck in matching.
This is more likely some kind of desync, that would be solved by you restarting, or someone else being group leader.

That sounds reasonable.  And I am not a computer guy aside from liking games, so I'm not in a position to argue with it.

But, my response to it, in the context of my original statement, then just let there be more sessions.  If this is an actual server hardware limitation then I concede and stand down.  But I can't help but feel like they just don't want people to be able to create defacto offline raids that count.

Perhaps I'm just frustrated.

It is a hardware limitation, there just arent enough servers to rent, when the player count jumped from 20k to 250k players, they had to contact Serverhosters to buy more Hardware so they could rent it

I just don't think devs are tryna control the game in that way. I think they have bigger fish to fry.

As for Dead Matter, it's a different thing. This wouldn't work with servers hosted by the community, the global inventory is such a huge part of Tarkov.
And if you think BSG are control freaks, then just remember how the nerds running their own DayZ servers act. With admins giving your exact location to their friends in game.
I remember server admins feeding me info, even while I told them I didn't wanna know.

I kinda hoped Scum would be a big kick up the devs ass, but the game wasn't the saving grace it was cracked up to be. Hopefully Dead Matter will be what Tark isn't for you.
