REAP-IRs disappearing off of guns after extract

So recently (as of 12.7), I've been killing players who had thermals attached to their guns and extracting successfully with the thermals still attached to the guns/in my inventory and when getting back to menu, the thermals are gone from the gun as though they were stuffed in their prison wallet after death. Is there some sort of bug that I don't know about?

Its a known exploit / bug ... I'll say nothing more

I had this exact thing happen 15 minutes ago on woods. Devs... ya gotta get on this one, this is a raid killer.

The issue here is I'm assuming they're not actually losing their thermals which is a saved 600k or so - not sure if they're even keeping their guns if its that bugged out/losing anything at all.

exact same thing happen to me 20min ago on shoreline night-raid.

Killed a player with a mosin and an attached FLIR and he also had an Hunter with an REAP-IR.

Looted both. After surviving the raid, both scopes are gone.

Had the same bug when I killed a guy who was using a REAP-IR on Customs last week. First thing I noticed was when I tried to remove the scope it would flicker for a moment then return back to the mount. When I extracted with the gun the thermal disappeared. This happened to my buddy a couple days later too. Pretty lame!
