Shooting through fencing literally anywhere

So this is an issue that i have experienced dozens of times in this game and it infuriates me to no end. Its really one of the few gripes i have with this game. I do truly enjoy playing it especially with friends. The issues i am talking about usually occurs in the depot under reserve under the hermetic door extract. Countless times i have gone to unlock a cage and enter it and encountered scav bosses or raiders and they are outside the cage and i am inside. I however, try as i might, cant get rounds to go through the ducking FENCING! I am actually writing this after having just gotten killed by gluhar who was on the other side of a cage and killed me through two layers of otherwise impermeable fencing. It is the largest con that i currently have to this game. I have lost so much loot and gear as a result of this since i got this game this last death finally pushed me here to cutie and moan to see if at least it is known that players have a near impossible time shoothing through most fencing AI does not. If you are a player that doesnt experience this i envy you/

cutie???? haha never heard that one.. yeah fencing's a cutie in Tarkov, I'm almost aimlocking headshots behind a fence but give me full cover in open play and I get full on mouse tourettes, shooting at everything that walks or crawls other than the target.

really depends on what rounds you are trying to get to go threw the fence and what gun you are using.

 

slugs general dont care about wood fence/ tin wall (unless they are flesh destroyers like grizzly/star then they wont go threw)

Were the scavs pressed up against the fence when they were shooting through it? There's an issue with how bullets are sent from a gun. They don't actually travel from the end of the muzzle, they appear at an arbitrary point some distance from the muzzle. So if the scavs have their weapon pressed up against the fence the rounds are probably being generated on the other side of the fence.

I have no idea. whenever it happens it happens whenever they are in almost perfect darkness and i cannot see them. And since theyre boss minions they are very accurate vary fast.

You are right, it’s not the only place where fences are janky. I’ve ran into the same problems there. Even the bus depot fence at shoreline has fucked me before. I had a perfect headshot lined up on a stationary scav and it did nothing. The scav then turned and one shot me Through the same fence. 
 

and no he wasn’t close enough to put his barrel through the fence. 
 

it’s specifically the chain link ones I find that have issues.

Shooting thru car windows feels like it's not doing anything most of the time.
