Developer's diary #1 with English voiceover

Is it possible to have the voiceover text ? In order to translate it in french, then give you the translated subtitles file to add it on youtube.

Just watched it, and hyped again. I like that we can change our shooting position like in ArmA3. It seems perfect. 

Btw, I think PKP, AK74U and VSS are confirmed -according- to the video

Sweet! Also spotted a H&K Mk23 at 3:03 (possibly replica). That can lead to suspicions of that weapon getting in game.

Amazing work so far. 

Love how the more skilled you get, the better your reloads and weapon handling becomes. It's great to see such devotion to realism.

Yeah man, so pumped for this game. I love the range of freedom you get with walk/run speed as well as crouch/standing height. Very excited for when they start streaming, hoping for alpha but I know closed beta won't be long past it :)

Like I've said before, I'm glad I preordered the EOD edition :D. Only in Tarkov have I seen a developer prioritize animations and quality like this. So many games just make one or two animations for a gun and leave it, but then it just seems robotic and hollow. This game, however, looks...alive for lack of a better word. Can't wait to play the Alpha this month! :) Nice voiceover too btw! I got the gist while it was in Russia, but the English definitely helps.

Looks amazing. Also those training props look fun, lol.

So, if I'm understanding correctly: All players at low-level will drop the magazine regardless of it being empty or loaded?

As you level up, you can retain the magazine and put it back into your inventory. But is this all the time, or only when half-loaded? Can you still choose to drop a mag?

The animation looks really good. Attention to detail is awsome. I would love to have the glove compartments lootable ;)
As a former Soldier in the Swedish army i love this. Thank you devs, after this dev diary im sold. Expect a pre-order soon from me :)

TWO WORDs "Excellent work" Guys.

A spare gun in the glove box can be handy, especially if you can shoot it from the sitting position out the window.

I would love to see and hear your thoughts on developing a specialist Sniper Unit. I have so many great ideas.

One other issue: Where will the main Server be hosted? If in USSR, there may be serious Lag issues.

Keep up the great work. Would also love to be invited for Alpha testing when ready.

PS: Here is a test Video with my Arma3 Mod and I also have experience with UNREAL4:

I really like what I see...Legs!

They seem so rare. 

 

That Scroll speed and height adjustment is so different, but also seems so useful. Adjust to whatever cover you have available, instead of binary Standing-Crouch height found in almost every other game.

 

I am disappointed about one thing...they had the wood there, but didn't demonstrate ballistic penetration through the wood. I'm alright with that being the only disappointment. The weapon animations were top notch.

 

Another 2 weeks estimated for the Alpha preview Dev-stream?

They might not have the ballistics working 100% yet and that's why it's not shown. The diary was to focus on Animations. We will see the weapon ballistics in its own video I'm sure :)

I believe this aswell, im sure they will show impact, penetration etc in another video on a later date. Im sure it will be awsome. :)

Hi all. My first message here.

I discovered the game 3 days ago and instantly came here to learn more. It seems to be the game I always wanted. All the way to realism. With a realistic BackGround.. Ooow <3 Now I'm an EOD owner.

 

Verry Happy to see Dev's Diary and with it comes somes question ;)
I'm a daily Virtual Pilot with lot's of Hotas, Track IR, rudders pedals.. Collective etc.. In Arma we use the Track IR to look around and to Lean. In other game that give us the ability to lean I use my rudder pedals axis to do it. Some will find this weird.. But when you get used to it.

 

Something like 8% deadZone at center then the Key to Lean on each side. So my question is will I have to do this by script or will we be able to use axis for those who want/can/prefer it?

Oooh ! I almost forget. Is the Track IR something you think to implement? It's a BIG + for immerssion. But I guess it add a lot of complexity for you.
