HeffeSRB
Hi, let start, game is awesome but its to hard for newbie player. I bought game 3 months ago, after first try i quit from game in first week but i really like concept of this game, i watched youtube videos and i wanted to play again. After 2 months I install game again and now im playing every day but im newbie and i have problem with everthing. I want to give some suggestions for newbie ( few my friends bought game and dont want to play becouse its not playeble for noobs) 1. Change matchmaking for new players some newbie mode ( players from 1-20 level put together to play), hey we must learn maps, guns, how to fire ( shooting is not like in other games its hard core fps) and more simillar stuffs. 1a. Change scav difficality on low and give us more scavs for practice ( in more that 10 raids i dont see any scav, better players ( veternas ) know where is scav spawn and kill than before I figure out where I am on map ( my avg exp for success raid is less that 600xp if you forgot but 450xp you got if you extract without any loot or kill) 1b. For newbie give us some points where is extraction a little help ( compas or radio help button just to say go forward, go left, go right, go backward this is simple but enough. 2. Give us options to buy newbie starter pack from dealers ( lets say for 20.000 rubbles we will get random equipment, something like scav have, i have 1 mil rubbles on lvl 5 but i cant buy anything, dealers are on lvl 1, market is locked). 2a. Also you can give us 3-5 FREE raids daily WITHOUT lossing equipment as i say we must practice everthing. 3. Scav exp is not counting why? We are newbie we die alot, we must play as scav to get equpment, give us that exp ( up to lvl 15-20 after that we are not newbie, maybe). *levels, prices are approximate* Yes it is BETA but new player lost interest for game after first play when thay miss all shots, cant find extract point and GAME loses full potential, yes veteras are addicted on this game and game is great but every game need NEW player. ( pls dont tell me you have offline mode for practice, its not same, i want to play real game with real players and prepare best I can for better players). Upgrade game to next level, game lost many potential players. Save this unique game! Best regards.
Regional
The Compass is getting added I believe one of the BSG Crew already stated it. I don't understand why everyone wants a noob mode, Everyone has had to learn the same way they get stomped on till they understand how to play. Playing as a Scav is just meant to gear up your PMC and i'm pretty sure it also levels up your Scav. If all the new player lose interest within the first day then they really didn't try to figure out the game. 1-10 Is the hardest part imo once you push through that threshold it's a lot more easy down the line till you got quests like Shooter Born in Heaven and shizz. Nameless_Terror
The second you hit lvl 10 the difficulty is cut to 1/100th. The gatekeeping in Tarkov is real and they like the higher levels being able to thoroughly stomp on low levels, and being the only ones to truly get to enjoy the weapons mods. The uphill battle will continue before you can truly enjoy what the game has to offer but at least it will be fun after lvl 10. Traders come later. 1. a) They will not help noobs, b) they will not help noobs. c) they will not help noobs. pretty much anything you believe will help new players refer to this : THEY WILL NOT HELP NOOBS. The best you can get is the increased favor with traders with EOD and storage space. That said, use the offline factory on "online difficulty" with horde (no scav war) and fight there for 10-20 minutes. You will know everything you need to know about the weapon you are using and how it handles. Use the wiki maps to learn extracts. Abovc all else, pick one map and stay on it. I suggest customs. Interchange isn't a bad choice either. Save all your horse figurines and stew cans for the vepr and AKM. Both are better versions of the sks and can use the ak polymer and blue laser from traders lvl 1. Do not scav unless you are broke. Only exp earned on PMC matters. Never hatchling run. Whatever you could do as a hatchling you can do better with a vepr/akm w/laser. Sell poo to Doctor, mechanic, ragman, peacekeeper in that order for best value. If you cant handle that, then quit because they aren't even considering helping new players at all. Favoring the high level players is how they justify saying that its a game with a strong story element. Quest are pointless except a small few at the beginning for xp. You will lose money on pretty much all of them.

Yes, I learned basic, that is my goal, extract with scav and gear PCM with that equpment and that is only way on start you dont have much options. Yes i do everthing as you say, learned customs in offline mode i now every extract but problem is high level player I cant loot dorms or similar places to find horses or stew cans or keys for selling, this is not problem i know what i must to do and i do that. My sugestion is not for what i must to do right now, its what they can do for new players, its just a game give us chance to play, give me low lvl players and i will loot every hidden stashs and boxes, right now i cant becouse high lvl player will kill me easy ( have a better gear and more exipriance about game ). I want to say they must push new players to play game not to quiting, game lose potential players, its not good for game and for us we need strong community. Give some options for new to learn everthing without worrying about lose everthing, raid duration is 30-40 min if new player die after 30 min and in most case he dont see hims killer its bad, players lose intrest in game, he dont know from where he is killed and lose all equpment, its start stres. P.S My heart knock hard when i see any player on map, its adrenaline but i know i dont have chance againts him when i see good armor and rest and my only one options is to stay hidden in bush
NaClDrakor
BSG do not to want any "easy" mode for low lvl player the game should be hard to learn. You will fail 100s of Raids as a new player but if you reach the top of the mountain and you know how you have to play in every stage of the game then it will starts to make a lot of fun. Everybody has had the same struggle as you as a new player.
Antmax
I think matchmaking that tries to separate levels 0-9 from Levels 10+ who have flea market would work well for beginner players. Otherwise I think most things have been addressed by scav runs, other than player scavs shooting you on sight, which goes against more ethical players code of conduct. Customs office and the new building near the zb 11? extract have great mid tier loot spawns and little competition. If you are feeling brave there are 2 good loot rooms near zb-13 but that's usually contested. 50-50 I meet some people there and 50-50 I survive the encounter. It makes the game too predictable and in a lot of cases too easy. 1a. Go play offline mode then. 1b. Plenty of maps available on google... plus play offline to practice... 2. Do Scav Runs 3. Scav is for farming gear with no risk to losing any gear... since it gives you gear for free... that is why. Any game is hard. Any game is easier if you learn how to play it. There is plenty of info available to new players. The game is supposed to be hardcore and unforgiving...
Stavros2014
All the same complaints followed by all the same answers.. "this is hard... blah blah blah" followed with "We know! it's supposed to be.." "git gud scrub!" Neither of which will prove to be good for the game in the long run Are there issues? certainly.. Likely more than we mere players will ever realize.. those poor servers...oi.. I have my own whines and gripes about balance, fairness.. mechanics that are busted.. mechanics that work entirely too well (for some). That said.. this is BETA.. enjoy what you can and hope the things you don't like get fixed before release. They already have your money. Understand.. the Dev's will make EFT into what *they* envision not what you or I think it should be. And if what they want it to be causes the flood of new blood.. er players.. to slow to a trickle, the investors that don't give a fig about games, only money, will pull out and EFT will be gone the way of the Dodo.. McC1oud
On the topic of separating players by level bracket: It would need to go on account age as any player can reset their account at anytime. Creating matchmaking brackets will likely increase time to match when all the main players have gone past this period and you are relying on other new accounts. Sets up an environment for another form of poor first time user experience if no one is around to play. A solution to this would be to allow you to play against just the AI by yourself until you hit a certain level. This is fine but then you'll be hit with a shock when the things start shooting at you with some intelligence once you pass the grace period. My advice to you is to play the nightime maps with just a basic gun. The AI are terrible in the dark(unless they have flashlights). Assassinate the Scavs with ease, take their kit and your set. I play almost exculisively in the dark, you will be amazed at how close you can run up to the AI, kiss them on the lips, give em the old reach around and your gone with their things before they can yell "Cyka Blyat!" Your eyes will eventually adjust and the shadows become comforting. -Blyatman
