diablo1991
SO back in the day I could play the game just dandy (60 fps +). Got to lvl 40+ ish just right before the wipe than the 0.12 patch fkery happened... I could not play the game for like 2 weeks till it finali got fixed. Hoped I could experience a fresh wipe where I don't have be worried to get destroyed by ultrachads walking around with unpenetratable armor and guns that can kill you with 1 shot even if it just grazed you. Or so I thought.. It was back to where I started.... going up against terminators with a dinki TT... Fine ill take a brake till next wipe comes so I can start on the same playing field. 2 weeks ago I started to play again. I had to fiddle around with the graphics a bit to get back my old performance but it was fine. Than 12.8 hit and the game became unplayable, but I found a few guides about how to set up Nvidia panel and such so I can play again. And now with latest patch it just became unplayable. I don't have the toughest machine out there but It could run Tarkov just fine, but now I get stutters everywhere again and it takes FOREVER to load a game. It took me like 5 ish mins to load a game before this patch but now..... now its 8+ mins to load a map, reserve takes the longest thats even worse (around 11 min). After playing a game it takes around 10 minutes to load out of map... but just now comes the worst part... if i finish a game and start the next it takes aroudn 25-30 MIN TO LOAD A MAP. This is ridiculous... guessing its a memory leak but ffs..... Im at the point where i just have to give up. Sometimes I had to fiddle around for hours to get the game to a point where I could play... I have the memory dump option on but It doesen't help. Turned off post FX and this new texture thingy but it didn't help. I get kicked off the servers anyway after those long loading sessions so... ye Im prety fked at this point... Is this a known issue? Anyone have a fix for it or could help? Checked the performance during the game and my guess was right. My processor cores sit around 50-60% and my gpu at 70% usage what is prety normal but the Ram is done for... I only have 8 gb of ram and in the past it used around 6gb now it goes 7600+... so it just ate my ram leaving nothing to Windows and other programs. So guessing its a leak or BSG needs to rewrite min requiments for the game... Guess Ill just get some more ram as soon as I can....
Zeroa
Hi @diablo1991, if this has only begun with the new patch it may be related to known bug(s). Have you submitted a bug report via the game launcher? If so please DM me the ticket ID number(s) with the four-digit raid ID(s). If not, I have attached a guide below so you can in the future and DM me the ticket ID number(s) with the four-digit raid ID(s). Thanks! The game takes so much time to close so I often close it with controll panel and when I do that i get a "game crashed" prompt from launcher. So I already sent in 2-3 of those "crash" reports. But i can send in a "direct" bug report If that would suffice with recent Game client and Launcher logs if that helps and DM you theyr number. There is not many to look trough.. I did not play much thanks to these unfortunate events..
diablo1991
So yesterday the ram I ordered arrived. Ye after 12.8 it's impossible to play EFT with 8 GB of ram. xd It eats 12gb easy. Now the load times gone back to normal so i can play again! But I encountered something strange. For some reason in offline mode the max fps is limited to 30.... while in online to 60... can I uncap it somehow? So far I tried to tinker with nvidia settings and v-sync but it just wont uncap it... any other solutions? I rad about disabling HPET might help in the performance of "older" games, but I don't know if i want to tinker with Windows and/or BIOS. Anyone else did it before and what was your experience with it? Did it help? (btw why is it even capped at 30 in offline mode...was that part not updated) Edited November 14, 2020 by diablo1991
KocLobster
Yeah, that was definitely a lack of RAM issue. I think 16GB is the minimum to comfortably play EFT to be honest. I don't ever see it using less than 10GB of RAM at any given time. Glad to hear you're running smoothly again. I haven't experienced or heard of a FPS cap, whether in online/offline mode. In the game menu, under the graphics page, there is a Lobby/FPS Limit setting you may want to look at.

Disabling V-sync in nvidia controll panel and enabling it in-game menu suposed to "uncap" your fps. Google it. There are a ton of videos about tweaking the game to be more efficient.
