Mechanics - being shot

Just as a general suggestion - it doesn't matter what armor someone is wearing if they are being hit by 5 7.62 rounds on the center body at close range they are not going to able to stand and take careful aim at your head.  There needs to be disruptive effects of being hit.  This just happened to me - guy stepped out of cover and I hit him square on the body from a half concealed kneeling position.  He steps back out and I put 4 into his body with a decent rifle while he takes his time getting my head.  Nonsense.  This is simply not anywhere near realistic.

They do exist! Pain and hand tremors! Well that is what happens but you can still make a 200-meter headshot with iron sights with ease.

Use good ammo and he would be dead. Idk if you used 7.62x51 or 7.62x39.
For 51 use M62 or M61.
For 39 use BP.
After 5 rounds into the chest of any of these rounds literally any enemy will be dead regardless of their armor!

True as that may be, it wasn’t the point of the post.

Actually, it is. Had he simply used good ammo, the enemy would be dead.
Since he DID NOT kill the enemy, he likely did still inflict various medical effects onto the enemy. Since you are clearly new to the game I will explain them to you.

Effects in EFT include:
Light Bleed
Heavy Bleed
Fracture
Pain
Contusion
Tremor
Tunnel Vision
Immobility due to blacked out limb

These are the effects you can get directly/indirectly from being shot in EFT. Currently a lot of them are not too serious and players generally have ways of treating these immediately, but in future they already said they will add dismemberment, loss of balance, and so on.

Sorry @davidj123456, but our good friend @Mariner here is nowhere NEAR new to EFT. He's legit.

Hello @Dawfitprophet!

Yeah, unfortunately you're right on the money with your post. EFT currently leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to traumatic injuries. I agree with you 100%. For the most part, players are MUCH too combat effective while being hit with direct fire.

They experimented with aim-punch a while back and, rather than realize EFT is in BETA and  giving BSG time to workout the kinks and improve it, the vocal community totally flipped its lid and cried like babies about it.

Which is a sad state of affairs for EFT, IMO. The one thing BSG needs to protect and preserve is a healthy trial-and-error atmosphere while they refine the game. But, for whatever reason, it seems they've grown a bit gun-shy when it comes to deviating from EFT's perceived status quo.

Hopefully they can get their backbone back and tell people to shove off so these types of features/etc can be tried and refined.

1) there is actually a skill that reduces "tremor oscillation" (i.e shaking when being hit). So depending on that - some players wll not be able to hit a side of a barn, wile others will be able to aim somewhats okayish. Also if they "spray and paray" they might hit your head while you are magdumping them. How are you 100% sure that they "linedup a headshot on you"? Mayne they just sprayed and got lucky?

2) 600-650 RPM AK is actually the worst to "shake someone's aim off". Try 1000 RPM guns. Those really mess people's aim and "stunlock" them. RPM matters.

3) Im not sure if being under pain killers or other stims reduces the effect of being "bullet stunlocked" - so this is another factor. Actually killing PMCs under effects of "tremor" is a quest by jager (I didnt even try to focus it, it completed by itself over time)

So yeah - as you can see, there is a lot of things to factor in. So its not as simple as you put it.
